DD is 13.5 months and has always worn her baby deedee sleep sack to sleep. I probably need to get her a bigger size soon since her height is almost at the limit. But then I'm wondering if I should get her a bigger size sleep sack or transition her to a blanket? Im leaning towards the sleep sack cuz I don't think a blanket will stay on her but curious to hear what others are using. How old is your LO and what do they sleep with?

DD turned 2 a couple weeks back and I still put her in a sleep sack! She just doesn't keep blankets on her so I figured this would ensure she is warm on these cold winter nights. I have noticed she is better about covering herself with the extra blanket we keep on side of crib when she wants it, so I may transition soon.

My 2 year old is still in a sleep sack.

We started with a blanket at 14ish months, I think. She doesn't keep it on her, but she's dressed warmly enough to not really need it.

My 17 month old is still in a sleep sack.

We actually don't use either, C sleeps great in just a fleece footed sleeper. He wakes up every time I use cotton sleepers, but does great in fleece. It only took me 18 months to figure out, but he's great at 2 years.

At night we put her in a sack, then with a blanket but she always rolls out from the blanket. She's 20 months.

DD is a couple of weeks older than your LO, and I've been debating the same thing. I ended up buying one sleep sack in a bigger size because when I tried a blanket for her naps, she couldn't seem to keep it on. I'd find her sleeping on it like a pillow with little crochet marks on her face

I voted sleep sack.
We transitioned to a blanket at around 16-17 months but he always kicked it off. He didn't figure out how to cover himself with his blanket until maybe 19-20 months old (maybe sooner).

Wish we kept DS1 in the sleep sack longer, but he was no longer interested after being out of them in the summer. At 2.5 years old he will start out with the blanket on but quickly kick it off within half an hour.

@rattles: crochet marks on her face. Haha! How cute! Which sleep sack did you end up getting? I'm pretty happy with the baby deedee (it's nice and thick!) and was just gonna get the same one in a bigger size but open to others too!

@dolphin: We just got the halo sleep sack. It's what she's always had, and we used a 20% BBB coupon. I'm just washing it a lot and hoping she'll be able to use a blanket soon enough.

My nearly 19 month olds are still in sleep sacks....keeps them from being able to climb out of their cribs
We just added their crochet baby blankets as another top layer recently. Sometimes they keep them on, sometimes not. I don't think they have the reflex yet to pull the blanket over themselves if cold, so until that happens we'll stay with the sacks.

We are at just about 17 months and still using a sleep sack. Blanket for naps, if anything.

27 months and still in sleep sack. She would never keep a blanket on. Charlie doesn't and he's 4!

Miss A has been using a pure wool cot duvet or blanket since she transitioned out of her swaddle. The duvet was tucked under the cot mattress so she only uncovered herself when she wriggled up the bed. It's summer over here so now I just drape a crochet wool blanket over her.

we use the biggest size baby deedee sleepsack for our 21 month old. he lovvves it and likes to cuddle with it during the day.

13 mos and in a sleepsack. But we also put a blanket in the crib now too. But that's just because he likes to snuggle it.

14 months and he's in a sleep sack. There is no way he would stay under a blanket. He is all over the place in the crib. Plus when I hang out with him in my bed after he wakes he hates the blankets on him and kicks them off.

We did a sleep sack and blanket starting around 10 months and continued the combo until LO was about 28 months and the weather became warm.

13 months and in sleep sacks, but for colder nights, we also use a blanket over that.

LO is 15 months and we still use a sleep sack...she is a crazy sleeper and i dont think a blanket would stay on her all night!

16 months, we give him a blanket but he never leaves it on, fleece footed jammies are enough for him.

16 months and still in a sleep sack. There's no way she would keep a blanket on. Also the sleep sack is a nice cue that whether she's here, at her babysitter's or traveling - it's time to sleep.

21 months and still in a sleep sack. We keep the house pretty cool at night and he moves around so much that there's no way he'd keep a blanket on. We won't switch to a blanket until we move him to a toddler bed, and I'm in no rush to do that.
