I am sorry to keep whining about the sleep hell we're in (you can look at my recent posts (http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/sleep-consultant-for-toddler) and (http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/help-16-month-old-up-for-hours-at-night) to see the mess we're dealing with.
I took him BACK to the pediatrician today to make sure nothing is going on. He's okay, no ear infection or anything. Gums are still bulging, we're waiting on molars to come in, but they have been like that for literally 2 months. Ped encouraged us again to CIO.
We are CIO/sleep training dropouts because LO just escalates and escalates, and I am not a CIO person - would rather just deal with it than let him cry. But the last several weeks are not sustainable. Not just for us, but not good for LO - he is not getting sleep. Last night he slept from 7:15-8:30, then was up for 15 minutes, then was up from 9:30-2:15. For real. Most of that time he is crying and miserable and exhausted.
So we've decided we have to do something. I am still looking into a sleep consultant.
I would love to hear your experiences with sleep training a toddler and what method worked for you. This is really tearing my heart out because I DON'T want to do it. But he has to get some sleep.
