I'm having a lil difficulty with my 4 month old. I'm not sure if it's just age appropriate. Or if she's possibly teething, growing, etc. But she's not falling asleep the way she used to. And she's not staying asleep as long as she used to. And she is most definitely not a good napper, but she really has never been. So to sum up- my LO isn't really loving the sleep the way her mommy does!

The specifics- she used to sleep from 9:30 (a lot later than she probably should of gone to sleep) until 6;30am. Now we're trying to get her to sleep at around 8:30 but she just won't do it. My hubs has always rocked her (against others advice). So she's become reliant on it. And now even with him rocking her, she wakes up a few times before she finally stays asleep. And now she wakes at 4:30. I'm wondering if she's not actually hungry but just can't get herself back to sleep. I don't know how to approach the situation.

I just read Mrs.Bee's post from a few months ago. it gave me great info. For instance- I totally misread her overtired cues as her just being tired. That would explain why she's been having such a hard time falling asleep at night lately! But, she's gone from a great sleeper to one that wakes after 6 hours. She takes a bunch of little cat naps but I'd obviously like her to sleep better during the day too. I'm not sure if that's all related? We've never really tried allowing her to "cry it out". We have let her whine for awhile, then it becomes a full blown cry and we cave. I'm not even sure if we should be letting her cry as she's only 4 months old.

It's difficult especially because she's at daycare. And while our daycare provider is amazing, she does have other children to watch and I doubt she'd be able to provide all that individualized attention that it would take to get my LO "trained".

Anyway, thanks for reading- any suggestions?
