I was at the grocery store the other day and noticed the person in front of me using an EBT card (aka food stamps) was also using an iPhone. I guess I always considered a smart phone, especially an iPhone, a luxury that one should cut out if times got tough. When I told my friend, though, she thought that smart phones are necessities now and it's not reasonable to expect people to get rid of them once they've had them.
I totally disagree with her. My husband didn't have a smart phone until pretty recently (couple years ago). What do you think? Smart phone - necessity or luxury?
