My dh loves to snowboard, we're going to take the kids up to Mt. Hood pretty soon but I need to outfit them in snowgear. I also need snowpants for myself, I've been looking at Burton and that's as far as I've gotten.
Does anyone have any favorites or any input?

if you don't want to spend too much, columbia has some pretty good stuff -- i have snow pants and a jacket from there that's been happy with!

I used to have burton overalls. They were a pain to go to the bathroom in but they were so comfortable and warm! I had them for 10 years. I just got a new pair of snow pants from the used section at patagonia and really like them so far. Lots of deals online for snow gear. Luckily, we got hand me down snow bibs for my son but we did get him a columbia shell on clearance. We just went up to mt hood 2 weeks ago. It's gorgeous and such a great mountain for kids.

I second Columbia for pretty good gear at a reasonable, affordable price. North Face, Burton, and Roxy are some of my snowboarding gear brands. FYI - you can probably find some used kids gear and clothing pretty cheap online or at a thrift shop because they outgrow them so fast!

I like Columbia. I got a great pair of snowboarding pants on the cheap from the REI outlet online. They have great deals.

I've been stalking Ebay, we've got a Columbia outlet about 15 minutes from us. I should check that out this weekend. @BoogieBea: We were up there for a retreat last weekend, without the kids and rented our gear. That was pretty much a failure but I didn't want to pay $149 for a pair of pants either!!

@StbHisMrs: The columbia outlet has pretty good deals. And if you join the membership (I believe it's free?), you can get extra off.
