I asked the new teacher in DD's room on Friday when we picked her up if the daycare would be closed on Monday for MLK day, and she said yes. Well, it turns out that is not actually true. They are open! I am currently at work, and DH is home with DD. I called him to tell him to bring DD into daycare, since I'm sure he wants to, but he's not picking up his phone. Ugh. I already disliked the new teacher, and now I'm even more annoyed at her.

Our daycare made it so obvious....signs on neon paper were posted everywhere about being closed today! Lol.

Yeah, that's pretty bad. How could she not know since she has to be at work? She shouldn't have given you an answer if she wasn't positive.

@autumnlove: That's one of the things that finally tipped me off. I was sitting at work thinking "Hey, they usually make it really obvious when daycare is closed, but I didn't see any signs". So I called them up, and of course they're open!
I finally reached DH, and he isn't at all ready to leave the house with the baby. It messed up his whole routine for the day too, since he usually works at home on Mondays, but now he is in weekend daddy mode.

@hilsy85: @Mrsbells: @Arden: Yeah, I know! She's only been there a week so far, and I already have noticed several cases of less than professional behavior. I know the room was understaffed, and it's really hard to find good qualified people in our tiny little town, but I really think that this lady was not the right choice. Luckily DD is moving up to the next room in a couple of months where they have great teachers who have been there for a long time.
