Branching off from the jorts post..what does your DH wear in the summer?
When not at work mine will usually be seen in jeans or cargo shorts in khaki or cammo, a T or polo, and flip flops or sneakers. (More usually sneakers though.)

Jean shorts
jeans, polo shorts, basketball shorts. Anything comfy & cool! It gets super hot around here.

Mine usually wears brown cargo pants and a t-shirt. Or basketball shorts (or when I'm really, really lucky, jeans. He looks so scrumptious in jeans, but he hardly ever wears them).
Basically his year-long "uniform" but without the pull-over fleeces he wears when it's cold.

Jean shorts or lulu shorts and no shirt. lol... He's his own boss of an outdoor labour job so he's allowed not to wear a shirt. all day. and at home he doesn't like them either.
He'll wear a t-shirt if we're going somewhere that requires a shirt though.

dh mostly wears his grey khaki shorts from ae, and a t shirt or short sleeved plaid button down, with brown leather flipflops.

well he had one pair of cameo cargos from ae I think. Then last time we were visiting my folks, my dad gave him an old pair of his Navy cammo pants that he had cut off into long shorts years ago. I think DH thought he was pretty spiffy then, lol. -
He would wear jorts but he can never find any that are long enough. He used to always wear them! He wears cargo shorts and a tee shirt and tennis shoes. He never wears sandals/flip flops

khaki or chino shorts (no cargos!), a solid or striped tee (sometimes band or sports tee), and Vans or flip flops.

My husband HATES shorts, jeans, flip flops and sandals so he wears the same thing in summer as winter: dress pants and button-down shirt every day. In summer he wears lighter fabrics, so lots of linen pants/shirts and khakis.

We live right near the beach, so he tends to wear board shorts, in the off chance that we'll be around water. He'll also wear chino or linen shorts, with a plain or striped tee. Vans, boat shoes, or flip flops on his feet.

In the summer when not working pretty mug always cargo shorts and a t shirt or golf polo.

He lives in basketball shorts and tshirts. All Nike. But - he's a coach and gets most of that stuff free

He wears khaki shorts a lot and plaid shorts. He is phasing out the cargo shorts, but still wears them from time to time. Tshirts, short sleeved polo shirts. He still wears tennis shoes, and only wears sandals/flip flops at the beach.

DH pretty much only owns plaid button up shirts, so in the summertime he transitions to the short sleeve version, khaki shorts, and sandals.

khakis or jeans and a button down . . . if it's super casual, he will wear a regular tee.

He wears a lot of "long shorts" as he calls him (or manpris as I call them) with a t-shirt (usually black) with sandals

So are cargo shorts "out" for guys now? I never really thought of an alternative for DH.

Jeans and simple tees think Simon Cowell. He will pair them with his boat shoes or "fashion" sneakers

The thing he wears at work and during the rest of the year: jeans, t-shirts, and boots. I was hoping to get him into a pair of cargo shorts and hikers this summer, but I don't know if that's going to happen with how crazy this summer looks like it's going to be with work.

@TheSwissWifeStyle: Sorry! I wasn't sure if you knew lululemon or not and I didn't want to sound like a snob and explain the store to you. It's like work out gear and they are kind of like work out shorts. Breathable, meshy type fabrics. I honestly don't think they've become popular with most guys, but DH loves to be comfortable and cool (he runs really hot normally) and he enjoys them for casual wear. He's a fitness trainer so I guess he kinda likes all that fitness-y type clothing! They're nicer than just draw string type shorts. Kinda look like these ones:

@yoursilverlining: Ha this is totally my husband. He prefers khakis or chinos in the summer with slim fit polos or lightweight button downs. He owns maybe 2 pairs of shorts and they are the flat front Bermuda style ones- those are the only ones deemed "acceptable".

Cargo shorts and a t-shirt with flip-flops. I'm not necessarily a fan of the cargo shorts, but I'd be pretty upset if DH tried to tell me what to wear, so as long as there aren't any holes/stains, I let him be

@.twist.: SO's best friend is a district manager for Lululemon so he gets SO free stuff all the time! I was like, um can I get some free stuff? But he's only allowed free/discounted stuff if it's "for him," so he can get men's stuff on the pretense it is for him and give it to SO...I told him to tell people he liked wearing women's clothes to get some free stuff, but no dice.

Chino/nantucket red shorts with a linen button down or polo. Havaianas, loafers, or boat shoes. He looks like a cross between a Kennedy and a frat boy.

@IRunForFun: bahahaha! I totally would have tried to get him to admit to the woman's clothing thing. Damn! I'm so jealous of him. I'm addicted to their clothing and probably have more from that store than I will EVER actually need.....
