LO has become obsessed with sucking on her hands... To the point that her skin is all red, dry, and chapped. They don't seem to be bothering her (she continues to suck on them), but is there any safe thing to put on them help heal the skin? I'm hesitant to try anything even at night because she will sometimes suck on them in her sleep.

Could you use Lanolin? Since it's safe for babies to breastfeed after applying and its specifically for dry/chapped skin. I know it's for breasts but I figure same concept?

Anther vote for Lansinoh. I use it for lots of chapped areas on my LOs and it works very well!

and breast milk if you have! I'd do that, and then cream/mittens after.
