Yesterday my daughter got scared watching TV and ran into my arms for a protective snuggle. Afterward she turned to me and said, "Daddy, my high for today was just now. When you were holding me just now, that was my high."
We talk about highs and lows at dinner sometimes, but she's never told me something was a high in the moment. It was definitely a melt-my-heart moment!

My husband was going downstairs this morning and asked B if he wanted to go. B said "Mommy, I am going to stay upstairs with you because I love you." He hardly ever says that and it thrilled me.

@mrbee: I'm calling it even for the time that he said "Daddy is my best friend." I said "Is Mommy your friend too?" and he said "um, maybe Weston can be your friend."

My kid tells me he loves me and that I'm his best friend 50 times a day. It NEVER ceases to turn me into a puddle.

My DD will ask me if she can "kiss the baby" and then give my stomach little pecks. And she'll ask me to hug her so she can hug me and "baby" at the same time.

Every morning, she comes up to me and says, "I just want to give you a hug" and gives me the biggest hug with tons of kisses. Melts me every time.

Someone told B he'll grow up and be taller than daddy. To which he objected: I can't be taller than daddy! That's a no-no! And then, after thinking some more: I can't be taller than daddy because daddy protects me! 
And E woke me up at 4 am today to have a party. I was so not happy, but she started giving me baby kisses when I picked her up. I melted!

Last night we were at my parents for dinner. DS1 was going around the dinner table, explaining everyone's familial relationships to one another. IE "That's grandpa, he's mommy's daddy....Grandma is mommy's mommy....Daddy is my daddy....G is my baby brother...." Then he gets to me, tilts his head to the side and says "and that's my sweet pea mommy. I love her soooooo much". I almost cried. My mom did! Lol

DD started saying 'I love you' back to us and to us without prompting between 18-19 months and it melts me every time!

Not something she said (she's only 15 mo) but something she did - we Skyped with my mom and grandma, and DD invented a game of peek-a-boo with her great-grandmother. Hiding down beneath the chair that the laptop was on, then popping up like a prairie dog and grinning at her, then hiding again. She did that over and over for several minutes, laughing like crazy. So freaking sweet.

DD (almost 19 months) kisses my belly and says "SISTER." It's so cute. (I know she doesn't reeeeeally get it, but it's cute nonetheless.)
Also, DH was out of town for the latter half of last week. She kept looking for him underneath his pillow on his side of the bed, going, "Daddy? Daddy?" When he got home on Saturday morning, she and I were in my room together, and he said hello from the front door and her face just lit up and she yelled "DADDY!!!!!!!" sooooo loud. It was precious.
