I am pushing Charlie around in his stroller, while I dictate threads into my iPhone using Siri's voice recognition software. A decade ago, it would've been unthinkable for crappy phones like ours to be capable of such magic.

I walk around every day with my nerves being stimulated to help my migraines. However I'll be more impressed when they have forever batteries so I don't have to recharge myself.

@mrbee: That's how mine is. I'm charging myself right now. The battery is in my lower back, and I have a charger that I plug in to charge up, and then put it in a belt and place it so it's right next to my battery in my back. It beeps if it's in the wrong place, which is very annoying.

I was just thinking about Siri today and wondering if anyone used it after the novelty wore off. Guess so!
I can't believe I can have friends all owe right the world who I can get in touch with instantly if I want to.
@artbee: I had no idea! You have to charge yourself! Hopefully they will have better technology when you have to change that out.

@mediagirl: Yes I'm hoping that next time it's a smaller battery and lasts longer. I don't want surgery every 5-7 years for the rest of my life! Also, I have to recharge myself 2-3 days a week, and it's an all day process. I hate complaining because it is really helping my headaches so I'd rather do that than have a migraine, but it's a lot of work!

@katdevargas: its so weird. I always feel like people know I'm a robot. I read a blog for a girl who had the surgery a few years ago and she said she set off alarms in walmart. So far ive only been to target.... but at least I didn't set up the alarms there!

Not to be all doomsday or anything, but what really surprises me is just how fra-gee-lay technology really is, and how little we think about its fragility. But yanno, I think the same can be said for the human body . . . so many aspects of it are so, so fragile, and yet they do (as we expect them to) function perfectly for an extraordinarily long period of time.
