I love my Marpac sound machine.
We stopped using a night light at around 3 months old. Found that she slept better without it. -
We have the same sound machine as @chopsuey119! It's a must-have for us!
For night lights, I just bought a two-pack from BRU. Nothing special but they do the job just fine.

I got the same kind as Chopsuey119. LO isn't hear yet, but it had a lot of good reviews on Amazon. I don't know if they sell it at Target though.
