Just wondering, any bees dressing up for Halloween? I don't think we are, but last year Hubs was Abe Linecoln. I was supposed to be Mary Todd Lincoln but didn't finish my costume in time. It worked well because Hubs is tall and super slim, while I am not exactly short, but a bit stout.

We're not this year b/c we'll be in Ohio for Halloween for my cousin's wedding.
Can I just say that every single outfit I see at the stores this year seem to want to turn girls into whores? Sexy cat outfit, sexy nurse outfit, sexy caveman outfit, sexy batman, sexy ghostbuster....etc etc. I mean, seriously? Is this really what the costume industry thinks of women that we all need to be showing as much skin as possible? I'm not a feminist by any means (and probably don't even know the true definition of the word) but I worry for our children. "Sorry, kid, I'll be making your costumes until you're too old to protest..."

@JBHOPS - I think its been like that for at least a decade. Very disappointing.
@OP - we go to a Halloween costume party every year, so this year, unless baby #2 shows up early, we'll go as something...not sure what yet...but something

Every year it has been a last minute homemade costume, and it will probably be the same this year too. Maybe my husband and I will keep it simple with a cohesive look to let our son's cute costume shine.

@JBHops - I totally get what you're saying. I went shopping with a roommate a few years ago and she was looking at all of the Leggs Ave. stuff. We agreed that they had every costume in three categories: sexy, slutty, skanky. They'd have 3 Alice in Wonderlands, or 3 french maids. Lately they are moving more and more towards the latter.
