Did you get a breastfeeding cover (like this one) http://www.amazon.com/Bebe-Lait-Nursing-Cover-Chocolate/dp/B001CCHUTE/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1330630149&sr=8-4 or do you just use a blanket of some sort to cover yourself while feeding in public (or around friends or family)? Or.. do you just let it all hang out there?
My plan was just to use one of my Aden + Anais swaddles to cover up during feedings.

I had a Baby Au Lait, but it was easier to use an A+A blanket when he was small. When he was bigger and would squirm more, the nursing cover was better because he would just pull a blanket off.

I don't use a cover if I'm in a nursing room with other breastfeeding mothers - I just pull my shirt down as much as I can so as to not be flashing anyone. If I have to breastfeed in front other strangers or in a really public place, I'll just throw my scarf or a sweater over LO's head/my shoulder.

I used the AA when she was little but now she's bigger and pulls on stuff I do use a nursing cover (like an apron). Its nice she can't pull it down but she still pulls on the sides and sometimes flashes some people.
Usually I just wear two shirts (pull one down and the other one up) so you can't see much anyways.

I got a deal for a free nursing cover from udder covers, I only had to pay for the shipping and the cover itself was free. I think it will be easier to nurse with a cover than to use a blanket

I usually use an A+A swaddle, I felt like it was more discrete, most people just thought she was sleeping. It was easier before she became such a grabby fingers but it still works. I wear an over shirt and an undershirt so there's really no extra skin that can be seen when I nurse. The blankets just more because people seem offended by the sight of the back of a nursing baby's head.

I got that cover as a gift, and lately I've been using it if I'm nursing in a place with distractions - a group of talking people, ceiling fans, etc - because my little guy is so interested in everything that nursing takes FOREVER without it. And he's a wiggler, so blankets fall off pretty fast. Having the strap that goes around my neck is really handy because he can't pull it down.

I bought a nursing cover (cheap...like $10). I plan on using it in public, and then not worrying about it at home unless we have visitors.

A blanket. I tuck it behind my shoulder and hold the other end under the babe. Some covers are cute but they look sort of like bibs. (In fact I think in Spanish they call them nursing bibs!) I am not into bibs for myself.

i use the bebe au lait cover. olive is not a fan, but i don't want to be exposing my boob to the world when i have to nurse her at the playground.

Good to know to hang onto it for later when he gets more grabby. I got one as a hand me down from my SIL, and haven't used it yet at 8 weeks.
I was carrying it in my diaper bag, but started leaving it in the car since I never use it. Sounds like I'll need it later on, but for now I just use the A&A swaddles.

I have a bebe au lait.. I don't usually have to nurse in public since I'm not out for long periods of time. I do use it on flights and every once in a while.

I used the udder cover one. It was great! LO tended to swat at the cover so if I used just a wrap then I would end up exposed. Having something anchored around my neck was great.

I was planning to use just a blanket, but I had a lot of trouble getting a good latch in the beginning, and you can't see what's going on under the blanket. The cover is good because it has a piece of plastic that creates a little window. Much more discrete than putting my head under the blanket.

I use a bebe au lait cover too. I actually think using a cover is less discrete, but if there's a lot going on around us, LO can't focus on the task at hand without the cover. I find the cover to be easier to use than a blanket for the same reasons other cover users have listed.
