do you worry about this? my initials are AEG (boring), DH is AMG. However, his brother is NAG, which they think is a riot.
I'm so paranoid about this, both for kids to figure it out on their own or getting monogrammed things!
For instance..I am set on middle name for a boy of Ashton (grandfather), our last name is G. Will, go figure my top 2 names are Liam and Graham! GAG and LAG?
Would that affect your name choice?

My dad's parents actually got his sister's name from his brother's initials. His brother's initials are P.A.M. and they were like "Oh! That's pretty. If we have a daughter, we'll name her Pamela."
I do think about initials as we're considering names for our LO, but I don't think it will effect our choice too much.

It definitely affected our name choice. My grandfather's initals are GAS so I knew there could be poor outcomes. My husband is actually called by his initials JAY so again, something to think about when we picked a name. We went with CJY so no names, words, or rhymes could result.

Before getting married my initals were EGG, and it never really bothered me. Sometimes hubby calls me eggie or eggs to be a goof. DH is MNS, LO will either be EAS or TMS.

Growing up I was CEC and my brother was CCC which I was always so jealous of! Now that I'm married I'm CCC and I kind of hope to give our children CCC as well if it works out.

As long as the name doesn't spell anything ridiculous, I don't think we'll pay too much attention to it. A friend in college's initials were KEG, she loved that. My brother's were DEB and he always despised his. Mom said she didn't even realize it until after she named him.

The initials that go along with our favorite boys name are SAK. We think we will still use the name though. We just wont monogram the initials on anything.

I would love to name my daughter Abby Sophia .... but I think ahead and if she marries someone with a last name that starts with an S her initians will end up being ASS ... So back to the middle name drawing board!

Not really a huge concern for me. So long as they don't spell something totally awful! A silly short word would be alright though.

We've decided on a first and middle name for our LO....her initials will be all consonants, so they certainly won't spell anything.

Yes, I totally considered the initials! My LO's initials are DJY so not too bad. My husband's initials are AMY and he hates it. LOL

LOs spell PAM, I'm fine with it. My DH wanted to have Alexander Thomas for a boy's name which would have spelled ATM- he is like we can nickname him "Cash" or "Money"- yeah, no.

If we use the names we are decided on now for a girl it will be ERW and a boy is EMW, so nothing too crazy.

My initials growing up were DMR and are now DMP so nothing too big there. I would definitely consider what initials spell in regards to names. Hubs already knows this. Since our last name is P, I've told him no names that are J.A. or anything like that.
