There has been a lot of interest on the boards about the tradition of buying matching PJ's every Christmas. I love the idea too.
Do any of you know where t ofind PJs in sizes for the whole family? I would love this tradition too.

I think matching or coordinating pajamas would make such cute Christmas pictures! I don't know of a good place to buy them, though.

Could you sew them? Pajama pants are stupidly easy and if you're buying the same material for everyone, it would definitely reduce the cost.

Once we get closer I would check Target! They tend to use a couple different fabrics for holidays and then make things for all shapes and sizes with those fabrics.

@blackbird: That's what I would do! Make matching pants out of the same fabric and then just buy generic t-shirts for the tops.
I get us all Xmas jammies every year to open on Christmas Eve and wear that night, but they aren't matching. I usually get my husband and myself some pj pants at Old Navy and the kid (this year will be plural!) something from Carter's.

@HabesBabe: it was $50 for the mens, and $50 for the womens then $25-$40 depending on the childs size.

When we were kids my Mom always got us matching Pj's (just the kids) and we opened them on Christmas eve and wore them to bed! She always addressed them from Frosty the Snowman so she knew which box they were in- and said Fristy must have snuck in to leave them for us! She still does this for all of us now (me, DH, bro and his, DH (age range 30-32) and we all get jammies from Frosty for christmas! I will def. be keeping this tradition with my LO!

Growing up all us kids had matching but not my parents. My whole family gets together on Christmas Eve and all the women get matching ones. We just buy bottoms and tops at Target or Kohls.

Gap and old navy usually have similar holiday pjs for the whole family! My mom always just got us the same style with different patterns.

@Coco Bee: A friend of mine has a tradition of having all the women in the familly share the same PJs and the men do the same.

I think I've convinced DH about wearing these. Since we'll be at my in-laws, this is compensation ;D I just have to find some cheapo ones!

My mom always got my Christmas pajamas from JC Penney. I don't think they have matching ones for the whole family, but you could get very similar ones for much cheaper than Land's End or a store like that.

My mom has always done this but since we are older now she just goes to Old Navy and gets PJ pants and shirts. They are not exactly matching, but the coordinate!

My family always did this too. (Although we didn't do pictures in them.) When we were younger they were from hanna anderson. She has also bought them from Land's End and the past few years has given pants to the boys and nightgowns or pajama sets to the girls from gap. Those are expensive places though, especially if you are buying for the whole family.
