I called all bugs "Sharps" and anything that flew in the air "Beepers." My parents still have no clue where those words came from!

My mom swears to me my first sentence was "thank you please drive around". I also went through a phase from 3-4 where I would only answer to "Matilda" and insisted everyone call me "Matilda"

When I was 5 I was telling my mom some stupid story about what happened in kindergarden that day and she was busy trying to make dinner. Apparently half way through I stopped and informed her "mommy, I want your eyes to look at my eyes when I'm talking to you". I was sassy from a young age : )

I used to tell everyone my mom is afraid of chocolate. Really, she is ALLERGIC to chocolate but apparently that word was beyond my vocabulary so I went with afraid.
My dad and I had a thing where we would call rabbits, runny babbits and butterflies, flutterbies. I still call them that and when I'm talking to anyone who's not family I have to slow down and think through what I'm saying to make sure I say it the right way.

I used to say "when artbee was a little boy, she ate Mac and cheese." I always made people the opposite sex, and they always ate Mac and cheese.

When I was about four I told my parents very proudly that I had figured out how to "clap my butt." Not too long after that I had a very traumatic little cut on my finger which devastated me because I firmly believed that all my Chinese blood was leaking out. Apparently I had a nice little panic attack over not being Chinese anymore.
The best thing is that I remember my whole thought process in both situations.
