Can you tell what stage in life LO is in? Sheesh.
When did you start adding spices to LO's purees/food?

Good question- of course we're always thinking of the same things! I'll probably wait a while. As long as she likes the food, I'll keep giving it to her like that. We're a bland food kind of family anyway.

I didn't add to many spices to her purees. Maybe just some cinnamon to her fruit/oatmeal. But she was on table food before turning one so then she just ate everything DH and I ate.

not for awhile (after 1?), but with olive i'm definitely going to add spices right away! charlie loves garlic and herbs. i make garlic bread regularly.

I think I made a mistake in this area, we don't eat with very many spices at all, really just a bit of salt and some pepper, but now, my son is refusing anything that's heavily spiced.
I used to be able to give him jarred food for lunch to get a break from the cooking, but now he won't take it. Heck, I've tasted the stuff and I wouldn't eat it either. I wish I introduced it earlier.

@Rubies: I started using spices at 6 months. Curry powder, cumin, paprika, pepper, soy sauce, a little salt, etc.

we started spicing Livs food as soon as we knew she wasnt having reactions to the base food. Shes 7 months now, and we use all sorts of spices, and she loves it. Especially garlic powder and basil and organo. We dont use much (if any) salt at all though, and no sugar.

LO loves non-hot spices. We won't give her hot spices for awhile. She's had lots of indian and italian spices and loves that food up. One time I added a bit too much garlic to guacamole and she wasn't a big fan but it was probably too much garlic for most people's tastes.

We are gradually adding spices now. LO is 10 months and mostly eats same food as us, just slightly modified.
