i love this show! i don't have any guesses - i always find that this show is so wacky, that i don't even try. But alas, we lost Mike. I thought he was a great character, and Jesse has come a long long way from when we started. Loved them both. But Walt...there are some shows where you still root for the main guy even though he is somewhat of an anti-hero (dexter, mad men), but i just despise Walt. He has become such a horrible human being, I have no sympathy for him at all! what are your thoughts for the half-season finale??

This show is soooooo crazy. I honestly HATE the character Walter White has become. He pretty much is so evil. He started as such a clean guy, just trying to help his family out, and now he is the worst criminal of them all. I can't believe he shot Mike! If he hurts Jesse, I am going to hate the show. I have a mini crush on Jesse! I honestly have no idea what is going to happen in the next episode....
What is your guess?

I have no guesses at all. I honestly don't know where they are going to take the show. I'm sad that there is a mid-season break but glad that it delays the end of the series even just a little bit :). I can't believe Walt killed Mike. Mike and Jesse are my two favorite characters on the show. I've always said that I loved watching the evolution of Walt's character because it has been so well written but now I can definitely say that I do NOT like the person that Walt has become and I just can't root for him anymore.

Love the show! I have been on edge the whole time, knowing that soon thy will get caught. And can I just say how hott Jesse is?

Love the show, too! I read some interviews and some facebook comments so I have some ideas on how it will go. Who knows it might just be gossip.
I think Todd will do something to get himself killed and somehow bring Jesse back to cook.

@bluestriped bee: I am pretty convinced that Todd is going to run to the police or somehow ruin everthing.
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@anonysquire: That or he could be potentially bought off. Jesse was somewhat loyal to Walter. Todd doesn't have that bond.

@bluestriped bee: Exactly!
Oh and I am so sick of Skyler. What a hypocritical Biotch!
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@anonysquire: I don't think Todd will run to the police considering his criminal past but I think he will f' something up. What's up with them showing Todd with the jar and spider after they disposed of that kid?

@bluestriped bee: I don't know. I am watching so many intense TV shows right now. This might be why my sleep has gone down hill lol.

I have no idea what is going to happen! And I agree with not liking Walt.. ugh he is insane (and not good guy kinda Dexter insane!)
I do have a serious crush on Jesse though!
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@anonysquire: As much as I don't like what Walt has become, I think I hate Skyler more.
OMG, that dinner scene with Jesse, Walt and Skyler was cracking me up. Talk about awkward. I love how Jesse was trying so hard to be nice.

@bluestriped bee: haha "Skylar these green beans are delicious. What is the recipe?" "These are from the deli at Albertsons..." lol!!
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@Mrsdaredevil: LOL!!
"Well, good job on your shopping, then, because these are choice!" Then he goes on to describe the frozen meals. ROFL!!
I love the end when Skyler mentions the affair. It's like a Twix commercial, except with a glass of water!!
Then this part...
Walt- You know my kids aren't home.
Jesse- Oh, thank god!

@JessLC: I know, I loved Mike so much! But a character like that definitely has numbered days, I think. I am just worried that they're running out of time to make a meaningful resolution, though I know that picking a dedicated end date makes it more likely there will be a satisfying end (unlike, say, LOST). That first scene of the season opener was set a year from now (it was his 52nd birthday, unless that was just his assumed identity's birthday) and it seems like the cancer has returned. IDK, do they have enough time to catch us up to that point in time and then to resolve it beyond that? And who are the guns to fight -- Declan and his crew? Argh, I love this show.
@Mrsdaredevil: I hate Walter too! I mean, I love his character and the way he's played but I have no sympathy for him. I kinda hate Skylar too, though. My guess is that eventually Skylar and Jesse are going to band together and take Walt out. Between putting them together at dinner and then the scene at the car wash ("Vamanos" "I wish." lol), something is going to brew.
@anonysquire: OMG YES. So hot. I even loved him in Big Love even though he was a total nerd.
@bluestriped bee: I did read an article where the creator (I think) stated that Walter needs to atone for what he's done. I kind of love the idea I read somewhere, where they end up fleeing and building a new life and Walter ends up a dejected chemistry teacher again -- wouldn't that just be perfect for him? Hell on earth.
@anonysquire: I feel like Todd is going to try to take everything over or deceive Walter in some way, but not necessarily run to police. He seems like a total devious overachiever.
@adnama: Speaking of Dexter, not to go off track, but have you seen the trailer yet? OMG looks sooo good.
@bluestriped bee: That scene was HILARIOUS! "And then it's like, you're eating... a scab! It's like, yo, what ever happened to truth in advertising!?" *awkward face*

I had to scroll to the bottom of this post super fast so I wouldn't read anything. We haven't seen this past week's episode. I want to know what the plan is, Walt!! But I don't want to spoil it for myself.
Eta: also, what the hell, Landry?? (Friday Night Lights, anyone?)

Ahhh love this show so much! I watched the first 3 seasons via Netflix, then the 4th on iTunes, so having to wait a week between episodes (and now another whole year!!) is torture! @ladyfingers: I love the idea of Walt on the run winding up as a HS chem teacher again - full circle!
grapefruit / 4006 posts
@mediagirl: bahahah!! Yes, I was totally like "Landry! Didn't you learn anything from the last time you murdered someone?? "
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@ladyfingers: haha. I love that line, too!
Oh, I didn't read that interview. I read the interviews with Walt, Jesse and Hank's actors.
I am wondering what will happen to make Walt flee. Remember the first episode?
I don't know how I would want this series to end. Walt's cancer coming back? I don't know.
In the interview with Hank that sticks out is that he says something along the lines of him wondering if Hank will uncover something that reveals Walter. Imagine if Hank knew who Walter was and Walter didn't know. Juicy!!
I don't think they would give a spoiler like that away, so it's may be a idea. The actors may not know what's on store.
Also, I have this feeling that Skyler is going try to kill herself. She already tried once. Although, she had a lot of anger for Walt so she might try to off him somehow.
Well, I don't know Walter seems very clever in this show. I'm wondering what he will do next.

@bluestriped bee: Ooh, those sound good, do you have the links?
I think him fleeing has something to do with Declan and the new crew he's trying to align himself with. I think they did allude to his cancer having come back, in that first scene, with him coughing and taking pills.
I think Hank is already onto something but is spending a lot of time looking for something to prove -- or disprove -- that hunch. He just seems really suspicious of Walt. I mean, does he honestly believe W.W. stands for Walt Whitman?? Remember the first time he went to his office crying about Skylar, Hank was like, "New car, huh? Well you deserve it" and it sounded like a backhanded remark. What if he already knows, and had Gomez come to tell him about the lawyer flipping on Mike because he knew Walt would be in his office?
My impression of Skylar's "suicide attempt" was that it was designed so that Marie and Hank would take the kids, which was what she wanted all along. That was what I got out of her argument with Walt that night, anyway.
Walt is very clever, but when you think about it, it's been as much Jesse as Walt, at least lately. What would Walt be truly on his own?
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
I'm on my phone but they should be the ones on the Breaking Bad website. I follow Breaking Bad on Facebook so that's why I know of the interviews. If you need the links, I can look when I get to a computer.
Oh, yeah. I forgot about seeing Walter coughing blood in the first episode. I think I want to go back and see the first episode again.
You know... Now that we have to wait another year.
Haha- very true about the W.W, initials. Walt Whitman, really?

@bluestriped bee: Yeah since it's not coming back until next summer I'm going to rewatch the whole series on my maternity leave!

What it's not coming back until NEXT summer? What a jip! DH and I just started watching in June and it's so good we got completely caught up already. I agree about hating who Walt has become. At first he seemed to have good motives even if he was doing bad things, but now any good that was in him is gone. He has become manipulative and turned on everyone he loved. As for Skylar, I also find her hypocritical. She was totally on board last season and now she can't take the immorality of what her husband is doing anymore?
