Hello!

I guess I am posting to just lift my spirit. I usually spot about 7 days before my period starts and I spot all the way to ovulation after my period ends. There is literally only about 1 week of my cycle (after ovulation) that I am not spotting.

My ob/gyn said that there is high clinical suspicion of endometriosis (because I have UTI-like symptoms and rectal pain during my period), but that it can only be diagnosed via laparoscopy which she wants to hold off on until about Dec/Jan. During my last visit, her plan of action was to:

1. Prescribe me prometrium 200 mg orally once a day to help with the spotting (she said she doesn't believe that it helps with implantation and doesn't do progesterone blood work)
2. Get day 3 blood work done if I get my period this cycle, which I am 99% sure I am
3. Get an HSG done in November if I'm still not pregnant then
4. Lap procedure in the winter

My concern is that even though I took prometrium orally this cycle, I started spotting at 6 dpo! That's the earliest I have ever spotted. It's sticky in texture with a tint of brown that has been getting a tad darker each day (that's how I am usually sure it's AF and not implantation bleeding). Also, my temps have been flat-lining in this cycle's luteal phase at 97.7 F. Usually I'll get some variation between 97.7 and 98.1. Although I know my ob/gyn has a plan in place, I guess I just wish we could get pregnant sooner since I would be 32 when she wants to do a lap.

At what point did you see a reproductive endocrinologist? Did you get a referral? (we have been ttc-ing for 6 months, but mainly worried b/c of my endo symptoms and spotting for 3/4 of the month)

Who did your lap? Did a fertility specialist do it or your regular ob/gyn? It sounded like my regular ob/gyn would be doing it, which I guess is normal?
