@drjolene: Yay! Congrats!
Thanks for all the good luck. After talking to DH, we're not going to try these next few months. He has an international trip in April he has to make, and I'd rather not be due or almost due at that point. Hopefully, I'll have some answers by then about what needs to be done and my cycles will be back on track.

Thanks for all the well wishes, everyone. I credit this one to the Vitex. Congrats to any bfps I missed and good luck to everyone getting ready to test!

@Hoots: I have PCOS and am not overweight - it's "unofficially" called Lean PCOS. The "physical" symptoms are just symptoms and everyone presents differently, not everyone has those symptoms. I had extremely long cycles (over 150 days and only every got my period when i was prescribed progesterone to induce... every time...). I had an ultrasound which showed cysts and they did some blood tests that all came back "normal" for whatever they were testing. I went on metformin for about 4 months, tried to do a low carb diet as much as possible, and got my period on my own once but the second time i didn't so they gave me progesterone again and 50mg of clomid and I got pregnant the first cycle of clomid! Hopefully it works out for you
@drjolene: Congrats! what's your EDD? I just got my BFP on Sunday and my EDD is March 1-3ish...

I got a this morning but I O'd a bit later than I expected so I'm 11 dpo instead of 14. If no AF by the weekend I'll retest.
Congrats to the new s!

@Tam: it's hard to say... i had been off BC for over a year, but like i said my cycles were SUPER long and I never could pin down if i was ovulating at all (doctor thinks i never did in that time). So it was probably my 14th month, my 5th actual progesterone-induced cycle, but my 1st time ovulating (clomid induced)

@drjolene: If I am KU this cycle, that would be my EDD, too. Though it's not feeling very promising. I almost broke down and tested while DH was at work and then I remembered our promise to wait until AF is late. Funny thing is, I feel totally cool about not getting KU this cycle. Which is good because I am pretty sure I feel AF making her rounds.

@LaughLines: That makes me feel a a bit better. There's a ton of scary stuff out there on the internet. Doc said not to worry too much at this point. All there is to do is start tracking religiously to figure out what's going on. On the bright side, if it's going to be tougher than I thought, then I'm going stop worrying about my work schedule and trying to plan a pregnancy around it. Out of curiosity, did your insurance cover the clomid? And if not, was it super expensive?

@simplyfelicity: Thinking positive thoughts for you. I've had very normal AF symptoms so far and plenty of cramping, so don't count yourself out yet!

@drjolene: Thanks! I really don't feel KU which may be for the best because my DH and I are going on a belated honeymoon to Maui at the end of July and I would hate to have morning sickness. We'll see!

@simplyfelicity: oh thanks for asking! I didn't ovulate, just had a promising looking lh build-up. Notwithstanding that, I still have poased the last three mornings, to an obvious negative. I am now going to wait for my period, which will probably take forever again, since my last cycle was 50 days long. ho hum to ttc postpartum while still bfing!

@simplyfelicity: 12 dpo (longest LP yet) and no sign of AF but also no symptoms. I'm going to test again Saturday if no AF.

@Hoots: It is scary! but thankfully there are people who dedicate their lives to researching how to make drugs/treatments to help people like us! Even though I am thin I do think the low carb helped, not to loose weight but because of insulin levels. So I would recommend starting that right away and talking with your doctor about medical treatments
The metformin was really cheap, about $1.50 for a 30 day supply. When I first got it the pharmacist said "okay that'll be one-fourty-nine" and i thought he meant one HUNDRED and fourty-nine and kinda freaked but nope. Just a buck.
The clomid was also cheap.. probably around $4.50 or something.
That said, i don't know how much of that is due to my insurance, i didn't get a "full cost" and a "covered by insurance" amount. They just rang me up for the small total.

@simplyfelicity: thanks... Unfortunately AF is here.
How are you doing? You test this weekend?
cantaloupe / 6634 posts
@As Time Goes By: I'm so sorry. I don't think I am going to test right away and just wait for AF (should be here tomorrow.) I feel like that might be less discouraging than looking at a BFN and it saves a test. I am sure I will see you over on the July board. Best of luck!

@simplyfelicity: think positive for yourself! Are you having any symptoms one way or the other?

@simplyfelicity: you need to think positively for yourself! Are you having any symptoms one way or the other?

@As Time Goes By: I don't mean to sound negative I am just trying to stay grounded and not assume I am pregnant like I did last month. Most of my symptoms could be explained by AF--fatigue, backache, cramping, emotional. The only symptom that gives me hope is the loads of cramping around 10 dpo but it will be interesting to learn if that is just a common no BFP thing for me. Thanks for your support!

@simplyfelicity: I understand staying grounded! I think I let myself get my hopes up too much this month as I got closer to CD 32. Looking back I see that two months ago I also had a longer cycle so I probably alternate every month between long and short. At least I'll be prepared in two months if I have a longer cycle again. Good luck, I hope you get good news this weekend!
