My LO is 8 weeks old and she is super squirmy and noisy every night at 3am. She's rolling around trying to break free of her swaddle and grunting loudly. In the beginning I thought it meant she was waking up and hungry so I would pick her up right away and nurse. But now I realize that she's not even really awake because her eyes are still closed! So now I just let her be and she will stop after a few minutes but will start up again in a few minutes and this can last for an hour or more. Sometimes I give her a pacifier and that will soothe her for a few minutes but she eventually spits it out. It's impossible for me to go back to sleep because her crib is in our room and I hear every noise she makes. If I pick her up and nurse, she will sleep peacefully for another 2 to 3, but I don't want to wake her if she's not really awake or hungry.

Would you pick her up and nurse when shes starting to fuss or would you wait it out until she fully wakes and cries? Also, do you know why she only does this at night? She doesn't do this when she naps.
