After being home with him for 3 months 24/7, first day of daycare/going back to work was rough! I still spend sometime with the director each morning even though he's been going for 3 months now.

Xander was 12 weeks when he started daycare and it definitely didn't feel like he was old enough for it! I felt horrible, like I was leaving a poor defenseless baby out in the wild to fend for itself! And I cried after dropping him off the first time!

LO started daycare at 12 weeks, and while i felt he was pretty small and helpless, i was not sad. i was nervous, and worried whether he would nap, but i wasn't sad. i went and got a pedicure to enjoy my day of freedom before going back to work! maybe i'm just heartless.

My son began at 2 years of age and it was ROUGH because he had previously been at home and he understood that it was a different place. I think in our case, had he gone at a younger age, it would have been easier on both of us. But, he blossomed there, he's been there almost a year now and he's learned so much!
