We just tried yesterday... He is 5 months and a few days, and we did puréed apple. He haaaaated it. Made faces like I was feeding him grapefruit or something lol!! Maybe I'll try banana later.
We are planning on BLW too I think. I've only just started reading the book.

5.5 months and we started with purees. The first food we gave our LO was sweet potato, and she loved it! We're transitioning to finger foods now. Oy it's messy!

She will be 5 months the 29th, and we just started 2 days ago! So a little over 4.5 months. We started with squash. She wasn't sure at first, but now she loves it! We will probably do sweet potatoes next.

1 week shy of 6 months! Our ped recommends 6 months but she was soooo ready since 5 months!
We started with something in season, roasted butternut squash. I've made all her food and started by slowly making her purées chunkier and giving small cubes of food. After about 2 weeks of purées we went into real food. At about 8 months she was 90% BLW. With the exception of oatmeal, soups, yogurt etc.

We started around 5.5 months with sweet potato, which she still loves. Now at 7.5 months we're trying to encourage BLW, but she's not having any of it.

About 5.5 months. We did banana first. She mostly pushed it out of her mouth.

We started food purees around 4.5 months. It took a couple weeks for her to get used to it, and for a good month or so she would sometimes eat well and other times barely want a few bites. LO is 6 1/2 months now and is doing really well. Gobbles it up.

We waited for 6 months, since that is what we had been advised by her doctor. She was totally ready. We also intended to do BLW but found that DD really liked purees at the beginning. Now at 9 months she is much more into feeding herself.
