haha I am a horrible Asian stereotype. My husband always laughs at me because he is better at math than me! He goes, how did I get the one Asian that sucks at math?!?!?
I blame it on the fact that I never received schooling in China.

Hmm...I've always heard that I'm a terrible example of the NYC'er stereotype--people tell me I'm too nice and that they think I'm really from the South!

I'm not really sure if there's a "Jewish" sterotype--the first thing that comes to mind is good with numbers/finances, and I am definitely not! There is a "Jewish American princess" stereotype, but I DEFINITELY don't fit that!

@regberadaisy: haha I guess that is one too! I don't know if DH and I qualify as "rich", but I would say that we are well off, so I guess I fit that part of it

ETA that that's only because DH does fit that stereotype of good with finances/numbers and he's been successful!

I also don't look stereotypically Jewish--people are usually surprised to hear that I am.

@highwire: ooh now that you've brought up some others, I am ALSO terrible at sports--and I have no rhythm, DH makes fun of me all the time. I guess I kind of do have a controlling mother...but I'm controlling too, so it works. Uh oh...I guess that means I'll probably be a stereotypical Jewish mother!

I think I fit in the Southern stereotype. Definitely NOT redneck- there's a difference I've been told that I'm sweet and kind-hearted, I value manners a lot, and I'm so thankful that DH is a "Southern Gentleman." I like to take things in slowly and I prefer small towns to big cities.

I'm a Christian, but I'm also very liberal, so in some ways I don't fit that stereotype. There's an amendment that is on the ballots here right now banning gay marriage (which is already illegal), but it will also have many harmful effects to hetereosexual unmarried families. The fact that I'm a Christian and against this amendment is gasp-worthy in my small, southern, conservative town.

i think i fit a "real" jersey girl stereotype, but not the "jersey shore" one. i'm a bit mouthy, a lot loud, pretty out-going, will defend my family and those i love fiercely, and love nothing more than a day at the beach

but i am definitely NOT jersey shore "guido" - despite being italian and living on a barrier island haha - we go to our bars in flip flops, not those fuzzy ridiculous boots

In high school I think I really fit into a stereotype....much more than I do now. I was cheerleading captain, senior class president, editor of the newspaper, homecoming queen....all that crap. Now looking back its kind of embarrassing and I wish I didn't try so hard.

I guess I am kind of a typical "northwesterner." HUBBY and I are big on recycling, composting, eating organic and local....we ride bikes and go hiking a lot. We also start to wear flip flops as soon as it hits 60 degrees...that is definitely a Seattle stereotype!!

I fit the midwest stereotype a bit: "minnesota nice" - I am a nice person, and especially with driving, I always let the other person go first.
Although I'm not in the sense that I am into crunchy green-living. the midwest tends to have a redneck feel in a way, and is very republican so people tend to think environmentalists are whack. But I love and feel it's my duty to recycle, I am into natural parenting, we share one car and DH commutes 2.5 miles to work, and when it's not raining/snowing, he bikes. I buy nearly all of LO's clothes from thrift stores, and some of mine as well. I also buy 95% of our furniture/house wares secondhand. I am more conservative in my thinking though, so that fits the midwest stereotype.

I don't fit the homeschooled stereotype though - I am not academically excelled - just average. I dress NORMAL lol, I had tons of friends growing up.

I think I fit the Boston stereotype pretty well. I come off a little reserved at first, but then I warm up once I get to know you. I hate making small talk with people who I don't know -- like cashiers in the grocery store. I drive defensively but fairly aggressively. I'm preppy. DH and I currently live in California, and we really don't feel like we fit in here at all...

I also fit some of the Jewish stereotype. I'm thrifty (but definitely not stingy). I did really well in school, and I'm good at numbers. I probably could have been a doctor, but instead I got my PhD in a science field

My husband and I definitely fit the east coast yuppie/DINK stereotypes! Although soon we don’t be DINKS anymore, just yuppies.

DH always tells me that I am "barely Asian" so I guess I don't fit that stereotype!

I'm a pretty typical small town Kansas girl. We have a slow paced, easy going lifestyle. Will stay at home with the baby once she's born, nice but protective of my family, family first always, love comfort foods, 4-h'er, enjoy cooking and baking. Pretty stereotypical I guess. My husband is too.

I'm from Northern California-- I say "Dude" "Totally" and "Like" a lot. I wear flip flops OFTEN and have been known to wear shorts with a sweatshirt (something a lot of people I grew up with in CA did) and started drinking/smoking/partying at a young age, which is also a stereotypical "California Girl" thing.

I'm a "typical girl" in that I hate math and science-- but rocked English and History! I also put a lot of focus on my looks when I was younger-- "not a hair out of place"-- and I am obviously into pink.

I do not fall into the "Mormon" stereotype (aside from the fact that I got married at 18-- to a man I'd known for 5 months or so) because I'm not sheltered, a conservative, nor am I planning to be a SAHM to several kids... which isn't "typical"!

I can't think of any others off the top of my head!
