So my steri strips have stayed stubbornly on for over 2 weeks now. The nurse that put them on after removing my staples said that would fall off after a week and that if they don't just peel them off.
I peeled one off yesterday but I was thinking... should I just wait for them to fall off naturally?
Did anyone else have this issue?

Mine stayed on for 3 weeks and then all pretty much fell off at once. I felt weird about rigging on my scar so I left them. I probably could have picked them off earlier but I didn't have any real reason to.

Mine took forever to fall off. I am squimish so I certainly wasn't goinv to tug on them. My husband had to help get some of the reissue off after they finally fell off.

@oliviaoblivia: @babynumber1: Thanks ladies. I was a little worried that if I didn't pull them off something bad would happen. I'm going to let them fall off naturally.

@Mrs. Tiger: haha the one I peeled off was pretty gross! I kind of didn't want to pull more off after that because of how gross it seemed. I think I'm a big wimp.

I had DH pull them off around 2.5 weeks. I couldn't do it myself

Mine started to get real gummy and nasty and came off around 2-3 weeks pp. I was too chicken to pull them off before they came off on their own!

If just pull them off. Nothing will happen at this point. If you tend to scar, though, my OB recommended putting paper tape over the incision area!

Mine didn't fall off and I could barely look at my incision - much less pull something off it. My doctor took it off at my appointment 5 weeks out.

I let them fall off on their own. I was scared to pull them off because they caused blisters and hurt.

I peeled mine off in the shower, using a little Vitamin E oil on them so it wouldn't tug. They were really gross. I'm also really squeamish and admit to freaking out the whole time I was doing it.

My OB pulled them off for me. They were gross and stinky. The adhesive they used stunk.
