DD is 7 months old and we are having a hard time with her bottles lately. She has been on nutramigen since 3 months old and we've never had a problem. For the past week she will let me feed her the first ounce or two and then she quits. She's pushing away from me, trying to roll off my lap (scary!) or grabbing the bottle with both hands. If I give in and let her hold the bottle she holds it above her face and drips the formula all over herself. Eventually she might get it to her mouth for a second and then bring it right back out and look at it and maybe throw it on the floor. I've been getting her to take about half the bottle but it's a huge battle and takes forever.

I'm not sure where to go with this! I don't want to completely discourage her independence or force her, but she needs to take more than two ounces at a time. She's only just started actually swallowing her solids (just once a day) so she's certainly not getting her calories there. I would try the formula in a sippy cup, but we've only done water in a Zoli so far and she doesn't get it yet at all. She chews on the straw, gets a little water into her mouth, makes a terrible face and lets it run down her chest. Anyone have any experience with this? Thoughts? I'm really dreading feeding times lately...
