I stopped my my neighbors' house today with my 4.5 month old. They haven't really seen him since he was a newborn. I handed him off to the wife (who is very sweet and has 4 kids of her own) and he suddenly looked like he was about to cry! His eyes got all watery and he pouted out his lip like he was about to bawl.

By contrast, last week at the peds office he was all smiles with everyone and even let one nurse hold him. He warmed up to the neighbors quick, but I wasn't prepared for him to have stranger anxiety already! Should I expect this to get worse? Will he do this with the nanny...my mom...DH?
