I'm in desperate need of a new mattress pad! I really thought I'd like the one we have, but it's the second one we've gotten that's water-proof and I just don't think I can deal with those. I apparently sweat a lot in the middle of the night and I'm always waking up in what feels like a puddle (sorry, gross, I know)! So I think I need a mattress pad that is NOT water-proof!
Anyone have any good suggestions??

I got ours at Macys. Apparently, every month, they go on sale for $20. The brand is called Home Design. it fits well (our mattress is a tempurpedic so it's extra thick) and is fluffy. It's not waterproof so it doesn't seem like it makes us too warm.

Last year I found a great one at Target on Black Friday (I ventured out later in the day) at a steep discount. It was the green tea scented one (I let it sit outside and air out for a while despite that "perk"), that's all I remember, but man is it comfy!

Since you run warm, you might want to look into a wool mattress pad...sounds counterintuitive, but they're supposed to be very cooling as they wick moisture away.

ETA: I never actually thought I ran warm until I had a waterproof mattress pad and then I was waking up DYING! Gahh!
