I just got an email about our Summer Infant Day to Night video monitor-- looks like someone filed a class action lawsuit against Summer Infant for not disclosing to the consumer that non-digital video monitor's signals can be intercepted by anyone around and it's an invasion of privacy issue.
It says we can receive up to 40% of the MSRP, depending on how many respondents they get!
Very interesting. Did anyone else get this email? Anyone else planning on cashing in?

This is one of the reasons we didn't get a video monitor. They can be incredibly insecure. Anyone driving past your house with a receiver has the potential to see the images on your monitor ie your sleeping baby. It scared me too much. I would have no way of knowing whether the model I bought was truly secure or not.

Interesting. I haven't gotten an email, but that may explain why I swear I've heard voices in the baby's room at night before, maybe neighbor interception?
