Yesterday DS didn't nap after 12:10pm at daycare. (Why do they think it is ok for a 7 month old to say awake so long?) He was a basket case when I picked him up at 5:45. We did a shortened evening routine and got him to bed 20 minutes early (at 7:10) and he STTN! He stirred and fussed for just a few minutes at 1 am and 3:30 am when he usually wakes up, instead he fell back to sleep.
I definitely would not try this again in hopes of him sleeping all night because he was not a happy camper while he was awake. BUT, what I'm wondering is:
Would more awake time before bed help him sleep better at night? He is usually up between 2-3.5 hours now.
Or would going from 3 naps to 2 help? He tends to take short naps now...
