I was really worried about swaddle weaning but it ended up being no big deal. We switched to a Merlin suit for nights at 3 months and put him in a sleep sack for naps. We just did it cold turkey, no one arm out etc. His naps were a little shorter for maybe a few days but he was basically unphased. Same story when he went from the Merlin suit to sleep sack for nights. I was so worried but he didn't really seem to notice or care.

I can't remember how long it took. But we did one arm out at a time then finally just lose around his waist to act as a blanket (we used one of those swaddle blanket Velcro things). Eventually he was too big so we used a sleep sack and it was fine. Id recommend the one arm at a time method

We tried just switching her out or switching to a zipadeezip and it was a total disaster. Merlin suit was magic for us. Her sleep was back to normal in about 2-3 days. Then took another month before we moved her into a sleep sack.

I also had to transition my LO out of the swaddle prior to him starting daycare. For naps he uses the zipadee-zip and Merlin suit for nights. The transition was smoother than I expected.
He was 11wks when I stopped swaddling.

We went cold turkey at about 3.5 months. It was also when we transitioned from the Rock n Play to the crib. It went much better than I expected!

I was afraid to go cold turkey, so at 3.5 months we did one arm out for two weeks. She still startled a bit and sleep was a bit rougher than usual for a week or so, but honestly not that bad. Then we moved to just swaddling her body so she felt the security of the swaddle, but that only lasted for a few days before we felt it was unnecessary and time to ditch it altogether.
