Symptom Spotting Sister-Friends

I'm 11 dpo and testing on Friday. Today on my drive to work I wondered when do pregnant ladies start feeling sick with morning sickness, then I started to feel sick...then I was so nauseous I looked for a bag to throw up in...then I pulled the car over and sat in the car trying not to throw up with the door open.
What sort of craziness is that?!

@Mrs tartan: ooh, as much as nausea stinks, hopefully that's a positive sign! FX for you!

@Aria: How strange. So AF wasn't AF? I'm glad you BD for good measure.

@Mrs tartan: OH NO! I HATE throwing up. WITH A PASSION. But I hate that feeling when you are trying to prevent it. Hardly anything is that miserable. I'm so sorry. UGH. I REALLY REALLY hope this is a promising sign for you! :: hugs ::
I have been doing a lot of research to hopefully avoid morning sickness entirely. LOL.

@Aria: I do hope so, however as this is month 8 I am not hopeful. I think I lost that hope a few months ago. But I was laughing at myself later in the day, so easy to convince yourself with symptom spotting. Sometimes I think "I wonder when pregnant ladies get sore boobs" then grab my boobs and get a shock when it's a little uncomfortable. Haha.

I think there is always hope. But sometimes I think I might be crazy. RE told us that we have a 1% chance of conceiving of naturally, but I'm always like..."Yup. This could be it!" And every season deserves it's chance to do it's magic. So unless I found out in the spring that something is going seriously wrong with my eggs (I already have a low reserve). I will give it until next January before we proceed with alternate plans.

So long story short- I have enough hope for the both of us, @Mrs tartan. I will hope this is your month. And if it's not next month- I will hope for the following month. And spring is right around the corner with it's message of new beginnings.

And then the summer brings tons of these wishing dandelions. So I can make wishes and prayers for lots of people here.

@HolisticMama: that's lovely, I love that people here still have hope for me when mine is dwindling ❤

@Mrs tartan: That's what friends are for.
I also have been coming across the same study a few times this year- the one where a group of people prayed for people who didn't even realize they were being prayed for- and they got clinically positive results over the control group. Have you seen that study?

@HolisticMama: be careful with soy it increases oestrogen. I was getting oestrogen related symptoms and me levels were too high. the b6 and vitex were meant to increase my progesterone but i didnt think they would work this well/ quickly!

  9. HolisticMama

    persimmon / 1167 posts

@Snowdrop: That's what I'm going for. Hormone testing in October revealed that my estrogen levels are low. I've avoided soy like the plague, since I always assumed I was estrogen dominant. Not so much.

@bushelandapeck: YAY! I'm really getting excite for you! That all sounds very promising. I am so with you on the insomnia brought on by TTC. I just feel so strange and I go back and fourth between emotions.

I feel much better today. I just feel like I am on an emotional roller coaster. I hope it's because I'm pregnant but even if its not I know it makes sense hormonaly to feel the way that I do.

@Aria: oooh so glad you are back and you have a shot!!! Good luck.

@Mrs tartan: all VERY promising. When I was pregnant with my son I had symptoms at 11DPO. I didn't know what they were but I had sore nips and implantation spotting which I thought was my period coming early. Nausea is a great sign! Good luck!

@HolisticMama: I don't know if I actually have low progesterone at this point but I know nursing can cause it and I am still nursing plus I have had LP between 8-10 days which is on the short side. My old LP used to be 12-14 days. I'm taking a b Complex along withy prenatal to hopefully help things.

Lots of EWCM again today. Brief sharp pinching pains this morning.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could tell exactly what our bodies were doing?

  12. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

I wish too!!! I wish we could just know within a day or two if it worked it not then if not start a new cycle right away. This waiting game is for the birds!

@HolisticMama: have you thought about taking soy iso like clomid?

  15. HolisticMama

    persimmon / 1167 posts

@Snowdrop: I haven't done too much research on it. I like what you are thinking though. Do you think I could consume enough soy in food state to do the trick?

  16. Snowdrop

    pear / 1846 posts

@HolisticMama: probably with something li,e soy milk where you could take a measured dose. But if you take soy you only take it for 5 days near the beginning of your cycle or it can delay O. Also you might need tons of milk. Also I think people tend to take it all at once at the same time each day.

  17. HolisticMama

    persimmon / 1167 posts

@Snowdrop: I'm cruddy at math, but I THINK I can do 1.5-2 cups of soybeans a day from Day 3-7. HM.
    http://www.isoflavones.info/isoflavones-content.php

Could be interesting to try. I don't see how soybeans could have a negative impact, really. Guess we will see? LOL.

@HolisticMama: I think with everything you do have to be careful. Just because they are natural doesn't mean no side effects (if they are effective enough to work, there is every chance of side effects) but you are an intelligent adult and totally capable of making your own choices. That's how I started taking B6 and vitex.

2dpIUI and I've been sick ever since :((( no fever just a bad head child. ... as crazy as it sounds I'm hoping it helps. .....lol. don't know why or how!

I've stayed clear of all medicines and have been sleeping and drinking water all day!

  20. Snowdrop

    pear / 1846 posts

@HolisticMama: you would have to take 830mls of soy milk a day to get the minimum 80mg dose. So 170mls short of a litre. Doable but you'll be glad you are only doing it for 5 days I imagine!

  21. Snowdrop

    pear / 1846 posts

@FaithFertility: oh poor you! Maybe the low immune system while your body fights the virus might actually help

@Snowdrop: Hm. Think soymilk would be better than just straight soy beans?
3.5 cups of soy milk for 5 days? I could totally do it.
(Not being on the metric system makes me feel lame)

  25. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

I'm SO effing exhausted!!!!! Seriously! Am I losing my mind? I know the idea that one is pregnant can set off a psychosomatic range of symptoms. Or maybe I am just more in tune with my exhaustion and body now? Time will tell but I am feeling back cramps as well.

@HolisticMama: Just a comment on the soy iso, if you're going to do it I would just get the pill form so you can completely control the dosage and read up on the side effects.

  27. HolisticMama

    persimmon / 1167 posts

I am so awkward when posting on my phone. Spaniel, I appreciate your advice. I will definitely look into that.

Mrs.Mccarthy, I hope you are tucked into bed.

Has anyone had gas pain that kind of sits in your shoulders? I know it is weird, but not terribly uncommon.

  28. Snowdrop

    pear / 1846 posts

@HolisticMama: i kind of agree with @spaniellove: about the pills really. I know you want to get it naturally through food but for simething which does have a potential to work like soy does. I would want to control the dosage accurately.

  29. Mrs tartan

    kiwi / 656 posts

@HolisticMama: I get that pain in my shoulders too, so @FaithFertility: I hope both of us feeling sick Is a good sign!

Today is 12dpo and I'm testing tomorrow, today I've zero symptoms apart from one sharp jab in my lower tummy first thing this morning, this could of course be anything. More likely to have been jaws biting me in the bath this morning than being pregnant, but as usual EVERYTHING is a symptom in TWW!

    persimmon / 1167 posts

@Mrs tartan: I'm glad you get that pain in your shoulders too and I'm not just a nut job....Well. I might still be a nut job.

I will definitely have to do more research about the soy pills. It kind of scares me.
I also want to ask my acupuncturist about dong quai.

I don't think I'm feeling any unusual symptoms . Just normal PMS stuff. Sore boobs, tired.

  31. HolisticMama

    persimmon / 1167 posts

@Mrs tartan: Do you think you might be pregnant? I sure hope you are?
It's sometimes hard for me to take that leap of faith and believe I could be...because I'm afraid it will make the disappointment worse.

Last cycle I absolutely was sure I was going to see no lines. This cycle- I think there is actually a chance. I really want to see that second line.

  32. Mrs tartan

    kiwi / 656 posts

@HolisticMama: I hope so, this is month 8 so I'm definitely not getting my hopes up. So I'd say no I don't think I am pregnant but I sooo wish I am!

  33. Snowdrop

    pear / 1846 posts

@HolisticMama: I looked it up for you and literally LOADS of people have taken them so there's plenty of info out there, but at the end of the day you are the only one who can make that decision.

Well I had a bit of a temp dip today, it is still higher than i've ever had but I have to admit it was disappointing. This is why I stopped temping!

@Mrs tartan: I think your lack f symptoms is a good sign!

  34. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@Snowdrop: my temps lowered a bit when I was pregnant. fX!

@Mrs tartan: good luck honey! I admire your ability to wait.

  35. HolisticMama

    persimmon / 1167 posts

@Snowdrop: What cycle day are you again?

And I guess I lied about symptoms. I am SO tired today. Not tired like I want to go back to bed, but tired like....I don't want to get out of my chair to do ANYTHING. But alas- there are still two working days in front of me.

I should probably remove snow from the driveway- and usually I really enjoy doing that, but not this morning. Nope. Nope. Nope.

  36. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@HolisticMama: I'm still exhausted as well. I can't help but wonder if all my obsessing is making me exhausted though too. Damn you TWW!!! What DPO are you. I'm 5DPO today

  37. HolisticMama

    persimmon / 1167 posts

    @MrsMccarthy: I'm 8DPO.
I've stopped trying to figure out why I'm feeling anything and just accept it. LOL.
Although I am really enjoying getting to know my cycle so I can be a little forgiving of myself if I decide to schedule cleaning the entire house on 8dpo and realize that probably wasn't the wisest decision.

  38. Snowdrop

    pear / 1846 posts

@MrsMccarthy: that keeps my hopes up! @HolisticMama: I'm only 7 dpo so too early for AF anyway but it just makes me happy to see my temp rise!

@MrsMccarthy: what did your chart look like for your BFP?

Fingers crossed the tiredness is something other than just life!

  39. MrsMccarthy
