does anyone know if it is safe to take alka seltzer plus cold formula with synthroid? i took my synthroid at 5am and it is now going on 11 didnt know if it was safe to take them together i have a cold and just trying to fit it

I don't know why it would be a problem! It would say so on the prescription bottle so if it doesn't, you should be fine taking cold medicine.

Perfectly fine. Synthyroid just replaces your natural hormone so it shouldn't interfere with other medications.

There are no drug interactions - the only thing you have to watch is that you don't take any calcium close to when you take the synthroid. But, synthroid has a half life of a bout a week (meaning it stays in your system for a very long time) so missing one dose or having one dose getting screwed up by taking calcium essentially doesn't affect the levels of it in your blood at all.
