Did your doctor say you needed to take it in the morning for some reason? Maybe try switching to nighttime.

@MaryM: I'm on 1000/day, and they are 500 pills, so I take 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening. I guess I'm not sure if I can take them both at night! Maybe I will give my doctor a call!

I take 1000 and take both at night. I hope that works!

Are they extended release (ER)? My doc said with them it doesn't matter when I take them

@MrsBrewer: I am on 1500mg.. started about 4 month ago. As far as i know i haven't been ovulating. It did shorten one of my cycles to only 38 days (as opposed to solely relying on progesterone to induce cycles) but then the one after that i had to use progesterone again. I try to do low carb, but i'm not super strict.. just don't eat chips/pasta/bread and the really obvious things anymore.

I lost maybe a pound or two, but I don't have much spare weight to loose without going into an unhealthy BMI range. I don't really have any side effects, but i don't with clomid either.

@MaryM: Hmm, I'm not sure if they are the ER or not? I will have to take a look at my prescription bottle.

@LaughLines: Sounds just like me! I just had to start taking the progesterone a few days ago to induce my period, hopefully I will have a normal cycle (or at least shorter) one of these times!

I have cut waaaayy down on carbs, and I am trying to watch that very diligently. I have probably about 50-60 lbs that I should lose, so I was a little disappointed that it wasn't helping me lose weight. Looks like I will need to cut my diet even more, and really start working out hard!

How has the clomid worked for you so far? I think my doctor said that would be the next step for me.

@MrsBrewer: As you get used to the higher dose it might become easier to lose weight. It didn't fall off fast for me...but I was able to lose about 20 lbs with a LOT less effort than before.

And, progesterone made me feel ever more gross...so that might be causing it instead of the metformin. I pretty much didn't want to eat at all when I was on P.

@MrsBrewer: I'm not sure if clomid has worked yet. I took it for 5 days from CD2-7 and now I'm using OPKs every day, it's only CD13 today and no positive yet. As far as i know i haven't ovulated in the year plus i've been off of BC, so i'm a little hesitant to believe that i actually will this month, but hopefully the drug works! I didn't have any side effects, which makes it seem like it isn't really doing anything since so many people have strong side effects. But i guess i just don't react much in general because i didn't have any side effects for metformin or progesterone
