LO has a lot of words and has been talking pretty regularly since she could start talking. Her words are pretty clear to people beyond DH and I and her nanny, but I know that she's a bit advanced when it comes to language. Her language explosion probably happened around 18 months, she says more than 300 words, and can have little conversations with us, some in full sentences.
We do a nanny share with a baby who is 3 months older than LO (age 2) and for a while she didn't seem to have a lot of words, though her comprehension was great. In the past 4 months her vocabulary has made leaps and bounds, so this is probably her language explosion time. I can have little conversations with her, though her words are not as clear, I can understand.

DS and DD, both 15 months, have about 2 words that they say, so I've been curious to find out of they're behind. The thing is, they both have 10 signs that they use unprompted and they understand verbal directions really well. Perhaps I shouldn't worry until they're two.

I would say she had a big language explosion around 19 months. Now at almost 22 months, she speaks in many full sentences when you let her ("my daddy is at the gym" "I want some more juice" "I have a wet diaper"). She has always been pretty advanced as far as language and really started parotting around 10 months.
