I am a little over 8w and DS is 14.5mos. I haven't noticed a real drop yet since being pregnant but I am definitely hoping that he weans on his own before the next one is born. He only nurses twice a day now so I think it will happen.

I am interested in this as well because my son shows no signs of weening and if anything has picked it back up full blast. He freaks when I deny him.

after first tri there was a change and then in third tri major dip. we did go down to morning/evening only though because i had major aversion but little boy never stopped completely and we are still tandem nursing. i wrote about it in detail on my blog.

@Vegmama: I didn't think it was any harder nursing while pregnant than my first pregnancy. I dried up around 12 weeks (Ellie was old enough to tell me) but she continued to nurse anyway until about two weeks before Lorelei was born. She self-weaned at that time. I definitely had some serious nipple sensitivity and nursing would sometimes/often make me squirm a little, but it was manageable.

I am still nursing at least twice a day at 35 weeks pregnAnt.

I noticed a dip around 28/29 weeks, and until then, I was still getting engorged and making a ton of milk!!

Now, I'm pretty sure I just have colostrum but that didn't happen until About a week ago. My LO is still content to nurse and asks for it often.

I think the only reason it made pregnancy harder is because LO was still pretty needy of me, and I need really had time for a break.

Now I have a question about tandem nursing: when the baby comes, do you not offer to the toddler until your milk comes in, since colostrum is in limited supply?
