But we've received three proactive card replacements. One for my debit, and two CC replacements for our two main cards. BAHHHHH.

I didn't get one! I thought about closing my original and re-opening a new one. When did they start sending out cards? Did they tell you they were sending them out?

I have heard that some card companies are doing blanket reissues to avoid liability on their side (as in, they aren't doing it for you, they're doing it for themselves).

@littlebug: It wasn't the target redcard. But, our bank sending out new cards as a proactive measure!

I didn't request anything since I frequently check the account and found no fraud so far. I signed up for the free credit monitoring they offered.

I haven't gotten any new cards! I usually check my accounts pretty frequently and haven't found any fraud...yet!

I got one new card, but had no fraudulent charges as far as I could tell. My CC company reissued my card on their own as a precaution.

I only have two cards I use - and I got new ones for both! It's made this month a hassle trying to change over all my saved and automatic payments... I forget how many things are autopay until I get a notification that payment didn't work

@Mrs. Pen: so annoying! we have DS' classes and dogs' insurance on a card, and I can't remember which!

We each got a new card. We didn't request them, the bank and CC company sent them out proactively. We had no fraudulent activity as far as we could tell!

I got a letter from Target saying store cards were not affected. I think maybe Target Visa and debit cards were.
We have a store card so a new one was not issued. I did wonder if I should request new ones.

No fraud on any of our cards, but dh and I both got replacement cards as a preventive measure from our credit card company.

@bluestriped bee: I got the same letter and we only have/use the store card at Target.
We didn't get a new one issued. We monitor our account and so far have had no fraudulent charges.

I used my visa debit card during the time in question and my bank automatically sent a replacement as soon as the story hit the news!

We got new cards. They were replaced immediately, before any fraudulent charges were found. Our banks were very proactive.
