How do you feel about her? I feel like she is becoming a very divisive figure....people either love her or hate her.

This time last year, I was about Taylor, but I've been liking her music as of lately.
With this whole Taylor & Kanye and Kardashian drama... I'll take Taylor over anything Kardashian related. (All of them in the news is getting old though, but I'm far less annoyed when I hear about Taylor in the news.) I'm convinced the Kardashians' pay the media to put them in headlines. (I follow People on FB and I feel like everyday there is a headline about one of the Kardashians.) I really wish Kanye and the Kardashians' would go away forever.
As for the actual video that Kim released... yeah, it does look bad for Taylor. But like I said, I think Kim is jealous of all the media attention Taylor is getting (even though it is good and bad) and wants the focus on her. Kanye is still nuts. (Yeah, WTF about him running for President... I hope it's a joke but I'm pretty sure Kanye is really serious about running in 2020.)
ETA: It all comes down to my annoyance with the Kardashians, really.

I like her music. I'm getting tired of her as a personality. I wish she would just get over the idea that sometimes news is going to be negative about her. Not everyone is perfect. Plus. she ruined Tom Hiddleston for me.

No strong feelings. Never listened to her music really. My kid sister is obsessed with her and takes my apathy to be extreme hatred, which I find really funny. Like how could I not have strong feelings for Taylor Swift?! It makes me laugh every time she gets so upset about it!

I really liked her when she first became a big thing--I especially liked how she rocked her curly hair and wished that she was around when I was a curly haired teenager in a midwestern town with only straight haired girls and straight haired media figures around me, lol! Now, I still like some of her more catchy singles (honestly I don't even listen to much new music though), but her constant playing-the-victim is annoying. Also she wears her hair straight a lot now, boooo

I don't mind her. I like her music to some extent and she actually seems pretty sweet to me, but I don't really follow anything about her in the media too much.
I am jealous that she's dating Tom Hiddleston though, I adore him.

Not a fan. But I think shes's totally in the right in her stance against Kanye's song. Misogyny like that should not be tolerated.

I like her music well enough for something light and snacky, especially the 1989 album; but I’m so over the whole #squadgoals #omgbestpersonever persona. She’s a huge star and I don’t believe for an instant she got where she is by being naturally super sweet and totally lovely – sorry, but I don’t buy the innocent (and now, innocent victim) act and never have. She's a strong businesswoman and I'm sure has the real guts that takes.
It doesn’t surprise me to see people coming out of the wood-work (Katy, Calvin, now Kimye or whatever they call themselves). Of course, with KK and Kanye, I think this is definitely more about their non-stop desperate attempts to stay relevant.

I imagine her being a supreme mean girl. Yet I still follow her on instagram.
But the Kardashians and Kanye are absolutely the worst.
Just a side note... recording a phone call with someone without their consent is a major crime in California. That's probably where Kanye called from. Idiot.
Also. Khloe did some mean tweat to Chloe Grace Moretz, I think. I wish that stupid K clan would go away.
Except for Rob. I always feel bad for him.

I have never been a fan & am so very sick of her music & hearing anything about her. She is lovely & has a nice voice, but nearly every song of hers is either about fairy tale love or a breakup. Someone should have told her a long time ago that she should branch out a little if she were to stay "on top" & appeal to more people (though she's clearly doing just fine without me being a fan! ). The break up songs are THE WORST. ...However, if I had to pick sides, I'd side with her every day before Kanye & KK. They are just vile.

Not a fan. Mostly because I think she went country first to get into pop. I'm country faithful- it's a loyal group of fans.
Lots of friends my age are big fans and travel to go to shows- no thanks.

I'm not a Kanye fan, but I thought he was right when he got up on that stage and said Beyonce deserved to win. I've never been a fan, she always acts innocent and doe-eyed when she wins awards.
I don't like any of the parties involved but I'm team Kim and Kanye...Kanye broadcasts his idiocy and Kim is Kim...while Taylor hides behind this innocent image. I've always thought she was a mean girl because of all the songs about her exes and ex friends.

I like her music, but she's starting to annoy me. I agree with some of the PPs who said she pretends to be innocent and sweet, but she's probably a mean girl. I'm over the act, and I am tired of seeing her name in the news every day.

@mrsjazz: I agree. Beyoncé totally deserved to win, though Kanye's interruption of Taylor Swift was uncalled for.
I kind of suspect that all of this is just planned controversy and none of it is real.
I get why people hate on Kanye because he's kind of crazy but of all the crazy people out there he actually seems like a decent person. He's a talented rapper and he seems like a loving and devoted husband, father and son. I think he just has an enormous ego and no filter which gets him into trouble.

I get annoyed with her famous friend collecting. Am I supposed to believe that she just naturally became BFFs with basically all of young hollywood, from Blake Lively and Hailee Steinfeld to Victoria's Secret models? It just seems so calculated. I don't really care either way about her writing songs about exes and things, though. Plenty of male artists do that and don't get half the amount of crap said about them as she does, so there's that. For example, comments about how she dates too many man, she gets around, etc. always seem so sexist to me, and that's irritating.
@agold: true, California is a two-party consent state for recording...I wonder if they'll get in any trouble?
@mrsjazz: I agree Beyonce should have won, though I still think Kanye was rude. The most blandly popular music often wins over things that deserve to win, which is sad but just part of the awards game. And I do find her "Omg, little ol' me?!" schtick very irritating. It stopped being cute after the first however many number one hits... 🙄

@MrsSCB: @agold: Did you see the article People posted? http://www.people.com/article/kim-kardashian-recording-taylor-swift-kanye-west-call-illegal?xid=socialflow_facebook_peoplemag
People is already asking if it was legal for him to record the conversation. It says ... "Multiple insiders also say that West always records his entire album-creation process for his archives and he is not afraid of any impending litigation. "
I'm curious to see if Taylor will sue, too.

@sunny: @MrsSCB: Yeah he should have tweeted or given one of weirdo interviews, not gone onstage. I do think he did help increase hee fame though.
At least with Kanye you kind of know what you're dealing with.
Somehow I think Taylor will come out of all of this just fine. I mean all of them will. This is a fight between super rich people, maybe they're all having the last laugh on us.
pomelo / 5257 posts
@mrsjazz: True, and we are all talking about them, which is probably ultimately what they want most in the world

@bluestriped bee: Didn't he recently talk about being broke? Maybe he should be a little bit worried about the possibility of litigation...

I like her music a lot (loved it for getting through a break-up a million years ago). I don't have strong feelings for her personally.
Personally I think what K+K did was shady. He clearly never told her about the b*tch line and like T said she never got to listen to or approve the actual song. I'd feel kinda snubbed too to think that he did such a nice thing by running a line by her but when the song came out it was that plus something else.
But whatever, not worth wasting my brain cells over
pomegranate / 3895 posts
@MrsSCB: He's not broke - he actually heavily misrepresented that. He was talking about the money he's lost in things he invested in that didn't work out... over 15 to 20 years. He makes like $1mm plus a show.
Related to the suing thing - I figure if she doesn't sue that it'll be pretty obvious she knew the conversation was being recorded / was going to be leaked. I'm side-eyeing the whole thing. They are both putting on some serious acts and their feud is enhancing both their careers and their personas.
