Ugh I did buy place a tiiinnny order this morning of pjs and pedal pushers .. Ok and a dress.

@T-Mom: you did well! I ordered 3 dresses this morning and considered that controlling the damage... however, there are a few other things that I am still thinking about... ack!!!! I just sold all my cloth diapers, so I have $$$ in my paypal account calling my name. I need to sit on my hands, or whatever they have you do in grade school to stay out of trouble!
@Mamaof2: boys or girls? I think girls sizes are generally tts, though it depends on the style to some extent. I sometimes size up with leggings to get multiple seasons out of them. I don't have a ton of experience with boys sizes, but my sister feels the shirts at least run a little small. Someone else may know better.

@78h2o: I asked my DD if she liked any of the dresses, she pointed at the Mod Medina, so I got it for her. She told me she wanted that one before but I didn't get it and now it's so cheap... I thought about sizing up on some other stuff, but with my luck, next year she will be wanting to shop at Justice
It's hard to pass up on the dresses, they are the best and at a great price now...
btw, Nouveu twirl fits like the other mini dresses... kind of wide but still very cute.

@Mamaof2: the girls stuff is pretty true to size, it depends on the actual item sometimes. The boys graphic t's that we have kind of run a little small because the fabric is really thick. The shorts that I got last season for my DS were really huge but this season they are fitting better...
grapefruit / 4441 posts
@T-Mom: haha, you saw my FB post... thanks! Do you have that one? I think the fabric is so pretty in person with the gold... but I just bought these two... one for next summer (sz 2) and one for the one after (sz 3)! That is probably enough twirls...

@78h2o: we have the nouveau and also the lavender one you got. Really nice!! The nouveau was brighter than I expected ... But still very nice. Great choices! I restrained myself from the majorelle... Just too much!!

@T-Mom: the sundress? It will look great on her! I don't think my DD is old enough for it to look right on her, but the colors are pretty!
honeydew / 7488 posts
@78h2o: it's the red and black swing dress...
I debated getting sundresses too but I literally had to restrain myself ...!!
grapefruit / 4441 posts
@T-Mom: Oh, gotcha! That one is super cute. I haven't tried the swing dresses... I also feel for some reason that they would look better on little girls vs. toddlers.

@78h2o: it's also a little hot (double layers on top).. I was trying not to buy any more spring dresses but she liked it so much ..

@78h2o: Thank you! I held off initially but the free shipping made me cave. Bought two rompers.

What a great deal! This is my first time shopping tea... so excited! Each of my dresses came out to $14 after the additional 40% off code, which is such a great deal. THANK YOU!!

bummin hard, people... I just placed an order when they had 30% off and $7 shipping... and my items are still in stock
blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts
@mrs. wagon: can you place an order now, and return those?
blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts
@mrs. wagon: but would it be worth paying shipping TWICE?? that's $7 sunk cost, then another $8 now (unless you plan to buy $150 worth!?)...
pomegranate / 3895 posts
@mrs. wagon: Ask about a price adjustment! I know Restoration Hardware (which, I realize, isn't even remotely the same store, but I digress) will give you 60 days from purchase to contact them if there is a better deal on something you purchased.
blogger / watermelon / 14218 posts
@Mrs. High Heels: that's true, just saw that you can't stack the 40% off and free shipping coupon codes, so that's that!
I love love love your choices!!!
blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts
@mrs. wagon: Thank you! I did pause before I made the purchase because it's all very purple, but oh well! At least we won't have any clothing battles. I like @BakerBee:'s idea about looking into a price adjustment.
blogger / watermelon / 14218 posts
@BakerBee: it's so funny you said this because I just texted Wagon Sr. telling him about the sale. We JUST got two price adjustments done by Amazon and Best Buy...! If he got this one too he'd be 3 for 3 in 24 hours. For both of the previous ones he said "they said no. ....BUT...." haha! He's such a sweet talker.
The price difference is only a $6 or $7 or so, so I don't think we're going to mess with the karma from getting the much larger price adjustments from yesterday ($30 and $50!).

@Mrs. High Heels: I did the same thing.. my order was very PINK! But oh well.

So bummed that I can't buy things for my daughter without her being there.
nectarine / 2152 posts
@78h2o: excellent, so glad you got some! Now when your daughter outgrows them, I'll take them off your hands again

Up until now, I have bought hardly any clothes for C because we received so many as gifts when she was born (one of the benefits of being team green, people get extra excited to buy you little girl clothes after she arrives). BUT I have just realized that starting this fall, we have hardly any clothes that will fit her. We have a friend with a daughter a year older who lends us hand me downs, but I think I'm going to have to buy some stuff, so.... it would be wasteful of me NOT to shop this sale. Woohoo!
honeydew / 7488 posts
@BoogieBea: I'm in the same situation.. I have to have my DD approve my choices now, otherwise I may be stuck with a dress she hates and then having to resell it later.. There is a really great resale market for Tea on FB though.
grapefruit / 4997 posts
@78h2o: @Mrs. High Heels: great choices! I bought the Lavendar one from Nordstrom's during their semi-annual sale for $17 so I will look at the website now.
@78h2o: Yay thanks for the info!
grapefruit / 4441 posts
@mrs. wagon: no, you can...FREESHIP40 gives you BOTH free shipping and 40% off...sorry if I was not clear in my original post. Might not be worth the hassle though... depends on how many items your purchased.
@Mrs. High Heels: Do you mean cost to return? Yeah, Mrs. Wagon would have to consider how much return shipping would be... she could use Tea's $7 return label (no max weight - flat rate) or ship it back using a bubble flat rate envelope for $5.70.
grapefruit / 4441 posts
@Mrs. High Heels: If you paid for shipping today, call and ask for a price adjustment. On the FB swap pages, people have been able to get adjustments.
grapefruit / 4441 posts
@Trailmix: haha, yes! Did you get the other stuff I sent? Hope it made it to you ok!
pomegranate / 3503 posts
@T-Mom: true. With the deep discount, I probably won't end up losing money if I resold it. I guess I should be happy that she's allowing me to spend less.
grapefruit / 4441 posts
@BoogieBea: That's a good way to look at it! I'm enjoying being able to choose for her for the time being, but I know those days will come to an end (and probably soon)... she already has opinions about which shoes she will wear and she's 18 months!
Dresses in excellent or very good used condition usually resell for $13-18 (sometimes more), so I doubt you will lose much!
nectarine / 2152 posts
@78h2o: yup got it no problem! Can't wait for fall to put DD in those dresses!
blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts
@78h2o: Ahh you're awesome!! Thanks for the tip - I just called, and before I could even finish my sentence the girl said, "Sure we can do that for you!". So easy. Boom.
honeydew / 7488 posts
@Mrs. High Heels: I emailed the customer service and they Applied the code for me too! .. I ordered this am before the code was released..they have really good customer service.

So when everyone's done with their Tea Collection, they'll remember to upload them to the Classifieds... right?? That's the only way I ever get Tea
