Yes. It works
First, I cleanse and exfoliate the blemish. Then, I use a cotton swab to apply the tea tree oil. It has a strong odor, so you may need to apply in stages. After a day the blemish is redyced significantly. Depending on the blemish I will either extract or keep with the oil treatnent for another day or two.

I've been using tea tree body wash from the body shop for the awful backne I have in pregnancy. It has helped a ton.

I wanted to love tea tree oil, but it didn't work for me. It made my breakouts worse! My break outs became cystic and more inflamed. I know new routines can take at least 2 weeks before seeing results so I stuck with it for a month, but stopped. I love the smell of it though.

It has definitely worked for me in the past! I used it in basically the same way @mrs. lemon-lime did/does and it always worked. I used the actual essential oil, not a "tea trea product", and I think that's important.

I've used the whole line of Body Shop tea tree products, and while they're great, the actual essential oil worked best for me. DH uses it also, and it really works well for him.

I've used tto on some break outs! I used to get really cystic breakouts & the last time one came up I used the essential oil on a cotton ball a few times a day... it worked great & thankfully it didn't get nearly as bad as they have in the past!
I would use some more as a spot treatment over using it in a face wash all over or all the time.

I use tea tree oil lotion and it keeps my face much clearer than any other lotion/moisturizer I've used. I lurve it.

Burt's Bees has a tea tree oil roll on blemish stick that I started using while TTC. I didn't feel like it worked better or worse than Clearasol or any other standard treatment but it felt a little nicer and is certainly more natural. But I didn't have any really bad blemishes and I pick at things, so I know I made any I did get worse myself, regardless of the product I put on them!

I love plain, old tea tree oil for pimples. I've not had any luck with products that say they contain it though. The pure oil works fabulously though. Just a small dab on a Q-tip is enough. Any more than that and you can end up with seriously dry, flakey skin. I get mine from Trader Joes since its pretty cheap and a small bottle lasts forever.
