Ours didn't, but apparently the parents are taking up donations and going to split it between all teachers which I think is a little weird. I'll probably give gift cards to my LOs teachers instead.

Ours does Teacher Appreciation Month rather than week. They have a sign up sheet for parents to volunteer to bring a breakfast item or a lunch item for once a week in that month. Then they have a list of items you can volunteer to bring to fill baskets to give the teachers. And they also have a collection for bringing in a masseuse once during that month to give the teachers little 30 minute massages. Also they encourage you to write a thank you note and provide pretty note cards to use. It's kind of a big deal at our daycare. What I like about it is that you can do as little or as much as you want.

Nope. I was thinking of asking the directors what supplies they may need. I know a lot of the teachers buy things for the classroom - mostly food or "fun" items so I would like to help them out with those things for the month.

@mediagirl: that's a great idea. I don't know if the center provides or the teachers buy. Hm.

@regberadaisy: you could check with the director to see if there are things they know the teachers bring in as treats or fun things the center may not provide. I just know they bring in puffs and sometimes new toys, as well.
I think bringing in a meal for them is a great idea, too! I may make a huge batch of pasta salad for the infant room ladies one day next week.

@mediagirl: you're just full of great ideas today! I was going to make the muffins I brought in on Monday for birthday treats bc all the teachers loved them.
