I'm looking for an easy to clean high chair, does anyone have recs?
I'm anticipating lots of messes when we start BLW next month, and I don't want to be scrubbing bits of food out of a high chair!
My LO will be six months old when we start using it. Space is not an issue. I think it would be nice if it had a removable tray so we could pull it right up to the table, but I've never even fed a baby in a high chair so I have no idea what I'm really looking for!

I didn't do BLW but my dd is capable of making grand messes.... I LOVE our oxo tot sprout. It's super easy to clean and will last us into her childhood. I didn't realize how much I loved it until I used my MILs fabric high chair for a weekend.... Ick

Space is an issue for us so we got a hook on chair with a tray. It's favric and a pain in the butt to clean. It's the best option for us but if we had space is have gotten the oxo one or the Phil and teds poppy (which I think Boheme has).

IKEA Antilop is awesome. We got the red for $25. So easy to clean, held up great, and looked cute in our dining room. IKEA has a wooden red one (forgot the name) that I originally wanted but they were out of them at the time.
ETA: Blames is the other IKEA one I like.

We have the same as Mrs. Lion and I love how the tray is dishwasher safe and the whole thing can go in the shower/tub for deep cleans.

Thank you guys! I read a few bad reviews of the sprout but it looks like I need to reconsider. Has anyone tried the stokke Tripp trapp? It looks like it's the same price as the sprout but you have to buy additional accessories for it.
I'm not sure why the high chairs that sit on a regular chair don't appeal to me, but they just don't. I will look at the IKEA ones, I had not considered them and they're cute!

We did BLW and did the bumbo with the play tray for awhile, when she was really little. We would take that outside and let her make a huge mess. We have the ikea blames and love it. We hose the whole thing down outside. I have heard that it isn't easy for littles who aren't pro's at sitting up yet. Haven't tried any others but we are so happy.

@babybean404: Me! I have the Graco Blossom LX 4-in-1. No complaints here. It's super easy to wipe down after every meal. The top eating surface comes off and I wash it in the sink and dry it in the dish rack. It comes with two so you could alternate if you wanted. Then the whole tray pulls out which can be cleaned or give you easier access to LO or the seat for cleaning. The footrest is adjustable; LO is 14 months and we just adjusted to the middle level. It also reclines, which sounds weird but is actually handy if LO falls asleep in the chair and you don't want to move them because they might wake up. We have taken the booster with the back that can strap to most chairs on vacation with us and used the tray, although we could have pulled her up to the table too. The best part for us is that we can seat two kids from one unit. I'm currently 38 weeks pregnant so eventually I'll be needing a booster for LO1 and a high chair setup for LO2.

@babybean404: have the boon flair and did BLW. It's awesome. Very easy to clean and the best thing is the wheels so you can wheel it right over to the sink to hose down the baby and chair after meals.

LO isn't here yet but we got the phil and ted poppy just because you can stick the whole thing in the dish washer.

@babybean404: my sister uses the Tripp Trap with her 5 year old and almost 2 year old. They are pushed up to the table and eat with everyone else. I really like that social aspect of it. She also raves about how nice they look and that they are easy to clean. Our babe will not be here for another 2 months but that's the one I'm getting. Nordstrom has one with all the accessories as a bundle and have free shipping and great returns.

Love the boon flair! Had something different with my first LO (a wooden chair that was a pain to clean - I would have to scrape out the joints with a knife and I am not a clean freak!). Got the boon for LO 2 and its so... much... better! Can wipe w one hand while other hand holds baby! Best of all LO 1 thinks it's awesome which is kind of funny. She sits in it all the time. I also love dragging it around the house and kitchen. Lo has even sat in it in the washroom while I've showered.

We have the Blames from Ikea and LOVE it. It's super easy to clean, tray isn't easy to remove but we leave it on all the time anyways. I love that there's not a lot of crevices or places for food to get stuck.

I have the Boon Flair but I feel just meh about it. The hydraulic feature has already broken (which is a common issue apparently) and the tray is the small side which makes it easier for LO to throw food.
I bought a gray chair pad to replace the blue pad, so it matches our decor which is sadly the reason I got it. Also I got it on Craigslist for only $45 so that makes me feel better about it.

@babybean404: we have and love the Tripp trapp. We got the tray for the first 6 months or so of solids, but now have the chair pushed up to the table, which is so nice. It's incredibly easy to clean and looks good too, like a regular piece of furniture.

@babybean404: we have two Tripp Trapps, my older LO is 4 and still sits in it (and I anticipate many more years of use) and my DD is 13 months and we have used it with her since we started solids. We did maybe 60% BLW with her and would just pull her all the way up to the table and put the food on the table. It gets messy no matter how you stack it, but the chair is pretty easy to clean. Now that she's a bit older we put her food on a plate and she does a pretty good job of eating from the plate and not getting food everywhere. Agree with @Beehive: that I love that it looks like a regular piece of furniture, and you won't have to deal with buying a separate booster down the road.

We have the Oxo Tot Sprout. I can't sing its praises enough. So, so easy to clean. We've been through BLW with two kids with it, and still love it to death.

I'm with @Rainbow Sprinkles: the Oxo Tot Sprout is awesome!! So easy to clean. Can remove the tray with one hand, and it transitions as your kid grows. On kiddo number 2 with if and LOVE it!

@babybean404: LOVE our Tripp Trapp! We got it on Craigslist and then bought the baby set and tray. It's been a breeze, esp compared to my old wooden one we were using! We love the small footprint and easy cleaning, as well as the fact that it matches our dining room furniture.

We did BLW and have the Mamas and Papas Pixi. It's not the most luxurious lounger, but super easy to clean.
