I am most interested in what happens between bath/pajamas and laying down to sleep.
Thanks!

We do bath, followed by hugs/snuggling to "What a Wonderful World" and "Imagine" while cozied in the bath towel, followed by PJ's and bed. I lay down with LO to get her to bed (not ideal, but takes less than 10 minutes usually).
LO is 14 months and this has always been our routine!
ETA: I don't let LO do anything between bath and bed, otherwise she'll find excuses to stay up all night!

He is 18 months and our routine for the longest time has been bath, diaper, PJs, milk and then straight into the crib after hugs and kisses. At 14 months we started to take him into the bathroom after he drinks his milk (which he barely drinks anymore but we still offer) where he brushes his teeth and hair. After that we do hugs and kisses, say night night, then plop him in the crib.

LO is 2. We do bath (not every night), nighttime diaper, brush teeth, PJs, one or two books. Then it's lights out, sleep sack on, white noise, tuck him in, and a few bazillion hugs!

17 months.
- Bath.
- Brush teeth (always involves screaming).
- Diaper, PJs, and lotion.
- Story time in the glider with her binky and a sippy cup of water if she wants any.
- Back into her room, into bed, sleep sack on, turn sleep sheep on, kisses, and lights out. (We leave at least 4 binkies in bed with her as well.)
- Shut door.

@Mrs. Yoyo: What sleep sacks do you use for baby Y? LO is 20 months and getting too big for the extra large halos, so I thought it was time to give up and switch to blankets. Would love an alternative if you have one...

@MamaCate: I am using the toddler ones with the foot holes now. It's more for the sake of routine now since he's in a regular bed with a blanket, but he often ends up on top of the blanket and it's nice to know he's still covered.

LO is almost 2.5
We do baths sporadically so it's not a part of the routine, and sometimes brushing teeth happens an hour before bed, so that's also not something I consider part of bedtime, but we do it.
Once we announce it's bedtime and go into LO's room, it's:
- Night diaper
- PJs
- Dim the lights a bit and turn the fan on
- LO gets to pick two books, and we read them
- Turn off lights
- Cuddle in the rocking chair for a minute
- Into the crib, pull blankets over him
- Say "Goodnight, I love you!" and leave
I used to rub his back and sing him a song or two once he was in the crib but I don't generally do that anymore and he's fine with it.

2.5 years and we have followed this same routine since he was about 10 months. He started STTN at just over 1 year.
Family dinner is around 7/7:30
Bath immediately after
Brush teeth
Read stories
Sing songs
In bed with lights out by 8/8:30

Bath right after dinner
Pajamas
Clean up toys
Snack
Brush teeth
Read stories
Sleep (about 8:30)
We do bath right after dinner because DS2 gets so messy. And DS1 always needs a snack right before bed or he wakes up in the middle of the night starving.

@Mrs. Yoyo: thanks! I didn't realize they had ones with foot holes. My lo wanders all over in her sleep sack without them and I have had to see the bottom seam a few times now.
We just ordered some new pjs from the Carter's sale so I am going to try those with a blanket. I am hoping to shake up our bedtime routine at the same time using all these ideas!

@MamaCate: we do bath, then brushing teeth. We dry her of and put pajamas on while singing a song. We put her in her sleep sack and read her 3 books. We always end with the same bedtime book. We turn of the lights rock her while singing lullabye and goodnight for about 1 minute and lay her down. She rolls over and goes right to sleep!

@MamaCate: right before sleep training we bought her a mattress pad and super soft sheets. Her bed is soooo comfy now. I think it helped tremendously!

We do bath, then I brush her teeth, rub lotion on her body, get her dressed for bedtime. she picks out a couple of books she wants to read and we read them. Then we say a prayer and I put her in her crib. She usually protests this then I turn on her fisherprice projection mobile that projects images on the ceiling and plays music and then i turn the lights down. she usually tosses and turns and whines a bit and then falls asleep, I sit right next to her crib til she is asleep

C is 2.5 years old. After dinner is bath followed by jammies, teeth brushing, and either several books or one episode of Curious George. After that is a drink of water, DH rocks him for less than a minute before C asks to be put in bed, blankets, sleep sheep and we sit by his bed for about 2 minutes. Kiss on the head, we tell him he is a big boy and if he needs us we are right outside and he can call for us.

@Mrs. Yoyo: I'm so glad to see you don't do a bath every night. Some nights we just wipe her down.
Bath
Brush Teeth
PJs
Milk and books/tv (only time she's allowed to watch any)
Go to her room, close door, turn off lights, cover up, say prayers, listen to her seahorse for 5 minutes while we sit with her.
Say goodnight and we leave.
