My temp was 98.03 yesterday and today it was 97.76 so, not a big drop. AF is due on Tuesday, but my temp is still above my cover line. Do most temps drop below the cover line if AF is coming? I have seen several "pregnant" charts that had a dip like that and still were pregnant. Im just wondering if I am out.

Oh I hope you're not out! My temps, however, never dipped below cover until my 2nd or third day of AF. They were always still above when I started it. I always had a few days of spotting, so maybe that makes a difference. I hope yours go back up!

Here is my chart (though I stopped temping a little while after my bfp because every little dip is stressful). My temp dropped a bit after my bfp, but not below coverline, so Id think it could be ok to dip a bit before bfp. But this was also my first cycle temping so I don't know what would have happened if no bfp.

I wouldn't count yourself out! For me, I dropped to coverline or below the day before AF was expected. My November cycle (BFP) had a dip the day before it spiked again, and I tested positive the next day. Fingers crossed for you.

I got AF the month when my temp hit the coverline.
I got my BFP with a temp dip but it stayed above the coverline.

Thank you! I need all the positive thoughts I can get! I am 39 and running out of time. If we don't get pregnant in the next couple of months, we are going to try IUI. I was just hoping it would happen naturally. I am almost afraid to take my temp tomorrow.

@mediagirl: sorry to thread-jack, but I am genuinely curious about your chart - when do you suppose you O'ed? Just curious, doesn't look like your luteal phase shows an elevated temp, though there is a shift from CD19 to CD20. Very interesting!

I never caught on to the whole charting thing but I wrote down my temperatures religiously. We just had all the sex in the middle of my cycle when FF said I might be ovulating.
I had some friends on BBC who I sent my chart to daily and they all looked at it and scratched their heads, too.
