My 3 healthy and happy children

My two healthy children. Jobs that put a roof over our heads and warm food and clean water in our bellies. Close, incredibly supportive families. My mom, for moving across the country to help us.

My oldest fell and her hurt leg on Tuesday. Despite clean X-rays from the er, she continues to limp, so we're in the process of scheduling more f/u appointments. All this to say, I'm grateful for the incredible village surrounding us. My nanny accompanied us to the pediatric er and her daughter is a nurse there, who happened to be on duty that night. She was able to expedite our visit and provided us with such amazing care. Her daughter has continued to be in touch. my sil and bio, who are both doctors, continue to check in. Two sets of very concerned grandparents. Our good friend is an orthopedist and we consulted with him, and he continues to check in as well. Her teachers at school have been so accommodating. The list goes on! I am feeling so grateful and hope one day my two girls will know the large loving village surrounding them and how very lucky they are.

I just logged in to write a pity party post, but this is a much better idea. I'm grateful for my daughter's sweet smiles and the fact that even while teething she still falls asleep on her own without fuss. Staying asleep is another matter, however

I'm thankful for all our good health, for DS's spunky, easy going, and great traveler attitude/personality, for currently being pregnant with DD who's healthy and strong despite being small, for my awesome DH who's really stepped up his game since I became pregnant, for the roof over our head, and our jobs!

I feel overwhelmed by life often but, realistically, we are so, so fortunate and have much to be thankful for.

I'm thankful for the fact we both have good jobs, we have a lovely home and the money to renovate our kitchen as we speak, we have two cars, wonderful family and good friends. I have a good husband and our marriage is getting stronger, a lovely daughter and a second daughter on the way. We are all in good health. What more could anyone want?

Thankful for a couple things that have happened to both DH and I in the workplace. My parents relationship was destroyed when my dad became resentful of my mom's success and opportunities. I'm thankful that DH and I have both had some high moments and are supportive & encouraging to each other.

-our savings account as DH lost his job this week
-modern medicine after having visited the doctor (3 times this week) and ER
-my boss whose been supportive while I haven't been in the office most of the week because of our family's bout with strep and RSV.
