I'm just meh, whatever, doesn't matter to me. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to buy them but would laugh if my mom bought it for my son.

Same as @Mrs. Pen: they don't bother me but I don't go out of my way to buy them. I'd laugh if my parents bought them for R.

I dont buy them myself, but if my mom or my MIL bought one, i'd happily put it on LO. Honestly, I hope my LO is close enough to her grandparents to kind of feel that way, since they live an 8 hour druve and a 14 hour drive away.

I'm not really a fan of the sassy, talking back, kind of shirts, but my aunt likes them and has gotten C a couple and she wears them. The worst one says "Daddy and I agree, Mommy is the boss!" So it's not offensive or anything, just not my thing.

I typically don't like any clothing with writing/logos on them, so I voted annoying, but I actually don't care if other people wear them. LO has one "Auntie is the best" shirts, and I've put it on her a couple times.
I really don't like anything with "sexual" type wording on them (Like some boys stuff that says things like "Little Stud") . That I just find distasteful for a baby/small child. And I particularly dislike things with reference to being cute/pretty/beautiful handsome since that's just not the values I want to reinforce, and I certainly don't need my 10 month old to be a "diva" or "princess" or "sassy"...
And I also really don't like clothing that belittles dads and mentions their incompetence, like the ones that point out where the arms and legs are supposed to go.

Mildly annoying... I take it more as "grandma spoils me" than "mom sucks," though! Just kind of not my style but ok when they are really little and hanging out in onesies most of the time!

Hate them.
I also hate the little devil, little rebel stuff too. No need to push the out of control boy stereotype!

I voted annoying and offensive! They seem to prop up cultural norms, ie gender roles, that I really can't stand.

Not something I'd buy but if one of his grandma's got it for him I'd put it on no problem.

I hate stuff with words on them in general.
I have issues with MIL undermining me with D quite a bit. As in, she'll turn around and give him the thing I just said no to, saying, "I can't help it, I'm a gramma." So, after she showed up with a onesie for M that said, "When Mommy says no, call gramma!" it went into the bag of clothes he had grown out of.

They annoy me. I put them in the bottom of the clothes bins for the oh-god-I-need-to-do-laundry days. My BIL has the worst taste, though- he gave me a onesie with a baby on it, all marked up like a cow for slaughter. The ribs, shank, all of that. Another one said, "I farted". Another, "Poop Factory". Immediately into the donation pile, a la @Dandelion: .

@Dandelion: @Mrs. Lion: I think a lot of how you feel about these things has to do with the relationship with your mother or MIL. Since my mom and MIL aren't really like that, it wouldn't be offensive to me. But because yours seem to purposefully demean your choices, want to make you look like the bad guy then play hero - grandma saves the day - then yeah, I would be pretty annoyed as those types of shirts as a gift.

I voted other. I would never buy them, but I think it's a grandma's right to spoil Lo if they want. I never really had grandparents around and I see how DH's grandparents still spoil him and I like that. But, do not undermine me (MIL!). If you want to give her chocolate, or whatever, make sure she knows rules at Grandma's house do not apply to everywhere and not when mom is around. I hate that she will do what @Dandelion: said: give LO things I just said "no" to! LO is hardly ever left without Mom or Dad around, but as she gets older I wouldn't mind grandmas being the ones to give them treats they won't normally get at home...all this to say those shirts suck but I don't hate them
I'm also not a fan of sayings in general, but will put LO in anything gifted to her and will sometimes buy things that will make DH happy...like a onsie that says "handsome like daddy". I knew it would make DH smile, so why not

Whatever! I wouldn't buy it or love to use it but the shoe definitely fits in our case
