This morning, the President of my University, stood up at our university-wide staff meeting and talked about breastfeeding.
She told everyone in a huge auditorium that breastfeeding and pumping is important and needs to be supported. She told every single supervisor at the university that they have to be flexible and allow moms the time to pump, and that moms need private clean spaces to pump in. I CRIED on this staff meeting you guys and so did my pregnant co-worker next to me. I feel like my work life has done a complete 180 ad I could not be more blessed to work where I work.
Please help me think of a way to thank this amazing woman!!!!!

She also told all supervisors to be flexible with all employees who are parents so nobody misses their kids first day of school or other important events. She said its not fair if she gets those precious moments and the rest of us don't.
Amazing, amazing, amazing. This was my new supervisors first full staff meeting so it really lays the foundation for my office to become super family friendly!
