This is possibly the best thing I'll read all week. Congratulations, this is all due to YOUR courage and initiative, and anyone who cares about women should thank you for making the world a little more women-friendly.

You make me cry every time you update! I'm so glad your environment has improved and that you have such an awesome lady in charge!
I'd say a card with a small flower or fruit arrangement, or a small plaque thanking her for her dedication to families.

Call me crazy, but I'd kind of like this woman to know how far and wide my story was heard (at least on the Internet, hehe). I wonder if any of my hellobee friends would be willing to write her a thank you note along with me?
This whole experience has had such an impact on my life and I really want to be an advocate for working pumping moms. I want to shower my President with thanks from as many moms as possible.
Would anyone be up for this? Nothing huge, just maybe "thanks for a mom of 2 in Ohio" or "thanks from a breastfeeding mom in NYC." I'd be willing to share an address via PM or wall message. Let me know!

@evansjamie: awesome!!! Thank you so much! I just really want her to understand how important this is! I hate all of the stories I have read on hellobee and elsewhere about negative pumping situations or moms having to quit. this is a powerful woman and she could influence other people!

@cmomma17: I would write her one!! I am a grad student, and a family culture on a university campus is SO important to me.
And congrats to you-you did a great thing!

That's great. A heart felt note is plenty thanks. Maybe you can write an open letter to the school's newspaper. The workplace, in this day and age, should be supportive of people's work life balance.
As much as I hope to be supported when I become a mother too, child less employees should be supported and the workplace flexible for the important things in their life too.

See, it was all worth the fight!! What an amazing story, and a truly courageous woman. Not every female in a position of authority would willingly stand up and take a position on something. Truly great.

Amazing!!! I'm so pleased it worked out this way. Your earlier posts inspired me to fight back about pumping facilities at my work, not quite as successfully as you but we are getting there.
Wow!! I'd be happy to write a note. From Australia
