It's so obvious that half the show is scripted: "oh I just could feel myself falling in love with him and I'm so sad I'm going home. I just don't understand why I can't find a guy!" (sob sob... oh right, it's only the second week)
And all of the "I'm here for the right reasons, but that girl is not."

I thought Ali (the nanny) would be a front runner but they're not giving her any air time! She's gorgeous, plays soccer, seems fun and normal.... Give this girl a one on one! I feel like Juan Pablo had his immediate favorites and isn't being very open minded about the other girls.

For example I don't know why he keeps giving Nikki the rose; from the show's perspective they never had 1 on 1 and didn't really talk/connect THAAT much.

I just can't even handle the whole situation with Clare. Just...gahh.
I like Nikki, actually. She may seem a little bitchy, but more in a sarcastic way. I feel like she's relatable.

I was overly excited to see this thread! I just watched last week and this week's episodes last night. Here are my thoughts:
1. I like Renee and Andi. I could see he and Renee actually having a life together, but frankly, I'm in no way convinced that JP actually wants to find a life with someone. He just seems sort of "meh" about the whole thing.
2. I like Sharleen in theory, but I think she's kind of condescending. I love that she's not the typical girl on the bachelor, but I'm not convinced that she's not on the show just to promote herself. I totally didn't buy the little shy girl singing thing from last night.
3. Claire makes me want to claw my eyes out. It drives me crazy how JP is always saying that he's trying to get her to trust and open up and blah blah blah, when really, she's just a big scaredy cat about everything. Those of you who have watched last night's episode, what did you think about her extra "visit" with JP and his reaction later?
4. Nikki I really liked at first. I mean, how can you not love someone who is first shown with a bunch of insanely cute babies??!!? I'm sad that she seems to be turning into (or at least being portrayed as) the catty, mean girl of the house. I like her when she's with JP or talking to the camera alone, but I don't love her interactions with the other girls.
5. NBA Dancer girl whose name I can't remember -- She is sooooo young, but since she has a kid maybe she's more grown up then some of the others. I don't see her being around long-term, though.

Not sure what Sharlene's deal is. She doesn't seem that into him...or is playing hard to get. Who knows. I'm not a huge fan of hers. I just don't like the way she is with him. She acts like she's perfect. No one's perfect.
Cassandra... too young if you ask me. They may have the parent thing in common but that's it. Plus, wasn't she a bit dramatic in the first or second episode? I forget about exactly what but drama so early is usually a red flag, IMO.
I like Renee. She seems so grounded and just normal. I think he is looking for someone who is more laid back but yet has a good head on her shoulders. But she is too motherly so not sure if that's going to back fire b/c she is always there when someone has drama. Always trying to help. Sometimes getting too involved can hurt their chances.

I really like Renee but I think she might be too boring for him? She was super cute after JP kissed her.
Claire is so ridiculous. Thankfully she's a very tame bad girl this season so I don't have to hear "here for the right reasons" a million times.
I really want JP to not give someone a rose after a 1-on-1 date! (I didn't see last week so maybe it happened?)

I really don't like JP. The way he treated Clare was terrible - pointing the finger at her when he could have said no. And I think his whole routine was douchebag 101. "You totally screwed up, let me embarrass you, oh don't cry! Forget I said anything, it was my fault." Bleh.
I agree with @Mrs. Blue: that he doesn't seem like he wants to "find love." He wants to be on TV. I find the whole "I have a daughter" thing at every turn disingenuous.

@littlek: I know... Renee is so sweet. I feel bad because she is REALLY falling and I doubt she is going to be the one picked in the end. The sexual chemistry is just not there.
I forgot to mention Andi! I like her and I think things will take off after their 1 on 1 date next week.
The ocean thing was totally crazy.. Even his whole talk with Clare after "I said yes because I didn't want you to be upset" was BS. Do you think they had sex?

Forget all the girls, JP is a dbag. Stop using your daughter as an excuse for some and then possibly getting it on with others. None of these girls deserve a guy like this.

@Reese: That's what it looked like to me, too. She was way too giddy to have not just had sex.
It irritated me to no end! That was so disrespectful to the other women still on the show. I would be really annoyed to have watched the footage after the fact if I'd been one of the women still there at that point.
I don't think he deserves any of the women that are there, honestly -- except maybe Clare, who I really dislike. JP has been one of my least favorite bachelors.

Clare is just so....ugh. But Jp is douchey for being all, "i don't want my daughter to be disrespected". Big freaking cop out
Plus, who's going to want to be with this guy, knowing he and Clare were doing stuff just a month or two prior when he was probably kissing the girl he ends up with? Icky, like sloppy second style. So man-whorey

@blackbird: True, but isn't that kind of what happened with Des last season? She basically said she was in love with Brooks, but he ended up leaving on his own, so she chose Chris! I would really question my relationship if I were Chris, knowing I wasn't her first choice.

Did anyone else want to scream "double standard" at the TV when he was claiming he was holding back from kissing Renee because he didn't want her son to view his mom that way...yet he keeps spouting off about wanting to set a good example for his daughter and makes out with/fools around with like 10 different women?
