@littlek: maybe she could ask Claire since they are such good pals

@winniebee: I was just about to say, "Haaave you met Clare?"
cantaloupe / 6059 posts
@winniebee: Nikki's hair drives me crazy and reminds me of what mine looked like when I was 9 months pregnant and hadn't dyed it for 9 months! Yuck.

@winniebee: The thing that annoys me about Andi is her insecurity act. It seems like EVERY single interaction she has with JP begins with her crying and freaking out about the fact that he's carrying on "relationships" with these other girls (which, duh, that's the premise of the show...) and then JP tells her she's cute and kisses her and she's all simpery and "OMG you always know just what to say I puffy heart youuuu."
I'm also going to start playing a drinking game and drink every time Clare says "like." I expect to be hammered in 5 minutes.

I can't wait to watch but it's happening on Thursday! A bunch of friends are getting together to watch it
I can't wait for the fantasy suite dramz! it looks intense! Everybody is crying!
and no i wouldn't sleep with him! Yuck yuck yuck. Who wants to sleep with someone that is sleeping with someone else that very WEEK, knowingly?! Dh and I had a good laugh over the parent previews. Duh, what parent would approve of this and give their blessing? looks like crazy claire's apples didn't fall far from the tree

Would I sleep with him or any other bachelor? No way. But I think intimacy would be a huge factor on choosing the right person. At least for me it would be!

@IRunForFun: I feel the same way about Andi!!! I could never be attracted to someone who cries everytime I see them lol.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
So how much time do we think Claire spends on hair and makeup?
persimmon / 1331 posts
@IRunForFun: lol! Love your drinking game! Be careful, I'm afraid you might get really drunk!!
I just caught up on the last few episodes on my dvr, so now I'm looking at this thread. You ladies are hilarious!! I am embarrassingly looking forward to tonight's episode but my MIL is coming over so I probably won't be able to watch it tonight! Boo. Can't wait to see all the family drama. I want to see the crazies of Clare's family!

I am bitter that all of the good juicy/crying stuff won't be revealed until the second episode. Is that tomorrow or NEXT week?
Is it just me or does Andi all of a sudden have a much stronger accent?
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
I'm proud of Andi's dad! Way to stand up to the man whore. And seriously.. He would never survive in the south

@Reese: Ugh I knowwww, I wanted the fantasy suite dramaz to be tonight!!

Is anyone else totally confused about Claire's crazy sister and what just happened?
pomegranate / 3521 posts
@IRunForFun: Yes..she seems jealous of her sisters happiness... this hometown is actually making me feel bad for Clare and see that she MIGHT be human
nectarine / 2936 posts
@IRunForFun: I'm very confused!
@Reese: I'm still not a fan, but I do feel bad for her!
pomelo / 5509 posts
@Reese: @mrs. 64: I feel like they must have edited parts of it out because it just didn't even make sense. Either that or the one sister is legit batshit.
nectarine / 2936 posts
@IRunForFun: Yeah for real. The other sisters seem really nice and normal.
persimmon / 1331 posts
I don't know about the sister/Clare. The sister said "I don't want you to manipulate her" so I'm wondering if Clare is very manipulative, or if her sister is... I don't think we saw the whole interaction though to be able to tell.

This made me LOL toward the bottom.

@winniebee: your assessment of the girls is awesome. Calling Sharleen out for a wedgie? Classic. But FYI: I'm a lawyer and I hate books.
I'm also apparently a few hours behind on this show. I'm watching it live and the "commercials" with Jp in them are just killing me!!!
honeydew / 7916 posts
@littlek: Me too! She seems like the best one and thus the most wrong for him.
honeydew / 7916 posts
Also, not that I take this show too seriously but I thought it was a red flag that so many family members were against JP. And that the girls couldn't bring themselves to say "I love you".
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@spaniellove: Totally agree! Not that it makes the show any more legit, but if see these red flags even on a TV show, that's pretty bad!
@IRunForFun: Haha that was a fun read!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsMcD: I'm lawyer too! But I just felt like she was trying to dumb it down for him then since her remark was in response to him being impressed with her!
pomelo / 5509 posts
@snowjewelz: The thing that made me crack up was "DON'T ASK STUPID QUESTIONS CLARE!" Hahaha.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@winniebee: Hi legal friend! (How and why are there seriously so many attorneys on HB??) And yes, you are right. She's trying to dumb herself down a bit. I'm dying to see what goes down tonight with her and the fantasy suite. And how in the world do you think she got time off from her job to go on this show?
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@MrsMcD: I wonder that about all the girls (except the um... professional dog lover... wtf)... what employer lets you tentatively take of 3m from work when it's not FMLA/grievance/etc...?
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Mrs. Pen: My friend (I don't know exactly what she does) was able to take a 3 month unpaid FMLA type thing. She used it to travel. I don't know how many companies allow this!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@Mrs. Pen: I have no idea! Its crazy to me. Just crazy. I understand how the hairstylist can take time off. Or girls that live at home and can just quit their jobs without much thought. But the DA, the nanny, the nurse, the teacher... I don't get it.
pomelo / 5509 posts
@Mrs. Pen: Well, don't forget there was also the "Free Spirit." I bet it was pretty easy for her to be there, LOL.
honeydew / 7916 posts
@MrsMcD: Apparently the teacher was no longer teaching...she had moved to LA to become an actress. Which is putting it nicely.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@spaniellove: That's funny. Which girl was the teacher? I really liked the science educator. I think that's what she was. The girl blonde girl who was really classy about being let go recently...
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@spaniellove: there were a couple teachers - I think chelsea was one and I don't remember the other one... does she really think that being on the bachelor would really help her chances of being a hollywood actress??
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Mrs. Pen: Elise was the other teacher that got booted off earlier.
